Excellent Quality — Mesh/Material Dog Barrier, Easy To Install. Highly Reccomended.
My Doberman Is Now 10 Years Old; His Back Legs Are Showing Signs Of Wear/Weakness, Due To His Age. I Needed A Solution, In Order To Limit His Access To The Stairs. I Have Used “Baby Gates” In The Past, Although You Have To Measure And Acquire One That Will Fit Correctly. They Are Also Heavier, Louder And Don’t Exactly Improve The Look Of Your House/Room(s). We Stayed In A Dog-Friendly Holiday Cottage Which Had A Mesh/Material Barrier At The Top Of The Stairs, Which You Just Pulled-Out And Hooked Onto The Fittings At The Opposite Side. I Found This Product On Amazon And After Looking At Countless Options Of Every Type, This One Was Most Appropriate. It Comes With Two Long Paper Strips Which You Tape To The Wall, Where You Decide To Fit It. Each Has The Corresponding Diagram Printed On Them For Each Fitting. You Simply Drill Each Hole Through The Paper; This Ensures You Have The Correct Location And Spacing For Each Element. Once Fitted, It Was Easy To Use; It Pulls-Out Quite Smoothly, Isn’t Loud And Rarely Snags [The Rare Occasion It Does, You Simply Allow It To Roll Back In And Then Pull It Out Again, Slower] It’s Likely You've Pulled It Out Too Fast, Or You Have Pulled It Out At An Angle; It Needs To Be Kept Straight. It Pulls-Out Quite Far, So It Can Also Be Fitted In A Location Which Is Wider Than A Standard Door Frame; As You Can See From My Photos, I Have Fitted It At An Angle And Across A Wider Area Than A Door-Frame [It Isn’t All The Way Out Either, There Is Still More Material Available] Check The Item Specifications For The Exact Length.Obviously It Isn’t As Strong As A Metal Gate. My Doberman Is 50-55Kg — He Understands That When It Is Across, It Means He Isn’t Allowed Upstairs; He Would Never Try To Get Past It Or Jump-Up. IF Your Dog Is Likely To Try To Get Past It, Depending On Their Size, This MAY NOT Be The Option For You. Other Than That Exception, I Would Highly Recommend It For Anyone Who Is Looking To Section-Off A Room Or Part Of A Residence.

Good gate though it's more of a deterrent
I would say this stair gate is good much better and less intrusive than a plastic gate however it's more of a deterrent to stop my daughter's dog coming up our staircase to get to our not so dog friendly cat than being a substantial barrier if she really wanted to get through it she could go underneath as the material bends easily

Nice fit
Very easy to fit, keeps the dogs out of rooms you don't want them in.Easy to use and sturdiness is okay.this is for pets, this is not a safety gate for children..

Ok gate
This is a decent gate and seems well made, however it seems bagger at the bottom when locked, so small dogs/children may be able to crawl underneath. We’ve had to block the bottom using something else to extra secure it

Not safe, doesn't do the job.
You can't fit it where you have skirtings, I mean you can but you have to leave a big gap under. It doesn't have a lock so, can be realy easily pushed, it is not safe at all. It doesn't keep pets or babies inside.Do not recommend.

Amazing
This came in handy, i bought this for my stairs to stop my baby climbing up but due to my stairs being more wide than most staircases this is what was need does its job and it was aslo easy for 7 year old to use

Not suitable for dogs
This was easy to install and looks pretty well made. It’s a good size and the design is alright, if not a bit basic and clunky. However. It’s very noisy when you close or retract the gate. However, the worst thing about this gate in my opinion is that there is no locking mechanism. This means that if you push the gate while it’s hooked on to the catches, it keeps retracting and becomes loose. My 12 kg dog was able to do this and squeeze out of a gap that was about 2cm when the gate was pulled across. I think at best this gate may be suitable for puppies, but other than that I don’t think it’s fit for any other purpose.
