This review is coming from my daughter. She is a character and thoroughly researches too much stuff IMO.She is away at school and has had some throat issues and went to health center twice. They told her to monitor her temp but didn't tell her the on-campus pharmacy had thermometers. So she went to the closest Target and CVS.I sent her this thermometer after she was hard-headed and ordered a different one. Both were delivered the same day. So she tried them both. One was a regular mouth/underarm thermometer.What did she do with an infrared thermometer? Took her temperature all over her body. I would have never thought to do that. But learned something new and for that it deserves 5 stars.Apparently your temp varies across your body. So she got different readings. Confused, she looked on the internet and saw that was accurate. Regular thermometers can't detect those varying temps.I can't wait for her to get back home so I can try it out.

I bought this for a friend who is pregnant but decided to try it out. And...... now I need another for my friend!This thing accurately read my kid’s temperature. I compared to 3 other thermometers and they were all within 0.4 degrees.It has a mode to test room temp and varied only by 0.1-0.3 degrees from our thermostat.It has a mode to test surface temps also. I did not test that.I’m a nurse so I’m happy that there are colors for temp warnings. That makes it easier to know if the temp is mild or more serious.The thermometer is easy to use and so handy that you don’t even need to touch baby to assess temp.

Purchased this for a baby shower. Everyone there loved it! This is the second one I have gifted. The color screen lets you know when the fever is concerning. Voice prompts are a little comical, but keep you accurate. You don’t need covers for this as it never needs to touch the surface, it can be wiped down with a disinfecting wipe, but don’t use alcohol wipes on the screen itself. There are settings for room air and baby. Always allow child to adjust to room temp for a few minutes for accuracy, fresh from the cold or playing in the hot sun will affect the reading. I find this most useful for checking those nighttime temps as it won’t wake the baby and gives parents peace of mind that the fever has gone down

This thermometer is much for reliable and trustworthy then other products I have purchased off of amazon at this price point. I have had bad luck with intermittency and inaccurate readings with similar products so I was hesitant. However, i have not had any issues with this product. The temp is very accurate as checked against thermometers that I have in my clinic. The use it intuitive and easy. The design is compact and pleasing. I would recommend to all moms needing an affordable but reliable product for gauging temperature

This was all cool testing out on people’s heads, but when my 6 week old was throwing up and I actually needed the thing to work, I was so scared when it came back 100, so I tried again and it came back 98.... it’s supposed to let me know if my baby has a temperature! It fails at its only job. Don’t buy this!

I love that this thermometer only needs a couple of seconds at the forehead to generate a reading. The backlight colors are also helpful to see quickly the range the temperature fell into, normal, borderline and high. Additionally, the thermometer has the option for voice prompts, so for someone whose eyesight is poor, this is an ideal choice. The digital display is large also, making it easy to read at a glance. For those with young children, the speed of the read is a bonus since most kids don't like to sit still. And it was easy to use on myself if needed.

After a recent doctor's visit, I was told to get lost accurate temperature, I should look into purchasing a forehead thermometer. Found this 1 on Amazon and was pleasantly pleased with the results. The thermometer is super easy to work, price isn't bad, and it produces quick results. I also oove the little traveling bag that comes with it; makes it so much easier to carry around if needed.

This is a great item.....so easy to use. It gives both an audio and visual reading which makes it perfect for elderly or those with vision problems. It us super fast readout Those combined features allows you to check on a child's temperature at night without disturbing them by turning on the lights while they are resting. The various modes also allows you to check room temperature AND surface temperature of liquids. No more burning your tongue on hot coffee. Definitely highly recommended!!
