California Tan CYPHER Platinum Step 2 40X Bronzers Tanning Lotion 6.8 ounces

This is the Step 1 lotion, not step 2 as the title claims. The difference in the bottle and number of bronzers is how you can tell. I was somewhat wary of spending $160 or so in the salon for this lotion and was very pleased at the price here on Amazon. Its quite the investment into tanning, in addition to what I already paid for my tanning membership. I was looking for a high quality bronzer to help me get a deep tan in the least amount of time. I don't spend a lot of time in the sun so even after the summer I was still pretty pale and I'm going to Cancun on vacation soon so I didn't want to be completely void of color! I am also going to Africa in a few months and will be right around the equator and don't want to be pale their either. In comparison to other products that are similar I found this line to be the best that I've tried, usually I'm a fan of Designer Skin. I used this Step 1 to get a base tan and then went to the Step 2 to deepen the tan. I also use a Step 3 moisturizer to extend the life of the tan. It's worth the price!

California Tan Cypher is as good or better than any California Tan product I have ever used. It keeps my skin hydrated and never causes an orange color. I have always loved California Tan products, but had never used one with a bronzer until now. Cypher will be my go to product to jump start my tan from now on.

Awesome product!!!! My tan is the best it's ever been. Every summer I start my tan with California Tan products. The Platinum Bronzer is new to my collection of the Cypher products. Not only did I develop an incredible tan but where the skin would ordinarily get leathery after lengthy exposure to the sun, my skin stayed soft and supple.Only one major complaint. For the amount of money the product costs there is not much contents in the bottle. Ergo the 4 stars. Would I buy this again? Absolutely! !! And I would recommend it highly. A DEFINITE MUST for the serious tanner.

I had heard so much about this product and had high expectations. Unfortunately it didn't live up to it for me. I love that it doesn't have that nasty after tan smell! I was happy with the tan it produced but it was the same tan I would get from a cheaper lotion. I was also surprised that this beautifully decorated bottle doesn't hold much lotion, I expected it to last longer. The amazon price is much better than the salon price so won't be completely disappointed

Doesn't seem as good as in the past

It had some kind of hard pieces of dried lotion inside when I was squeezing it out. I don't know if that's normal but it made me think it's old or something, but it's a good lotion, and smells nice and spreads easily.

Good product, but it clogs often and you have to mess with it just to get the lotion out.I expected to have more lotion in this bottle. It wasn't worth it for me paying $$$…lesson learned.

Nice smooth lotion. Scent is ok. Gives a nice even golden tan.
