Works so well. Bought this to replace a different panic alarm that somehow always seems to set itself off by accident but that I couldn’t get to activate easily when I needed it. (It had a button which was small and recessed and was hard to press on command but somehow seemed to get pushed at the worst times—in the movie theater, in line at a store, in a hospital with patients all around. Shaking my head.) The mechanism for this alarm is fantastic. It’s nice and loud and I just clip it onto the loose adjustable end of my backpack strap, where I can easily yank to activate it at a moments notice. I’ve also attached it to my purse and my jacket zipper before. Really convenient with carabiner. Also it doesn’t look hideous which is a bonus (I got the gold color because my backpack is khaki and the shade is similar, so it blends in). My only complaint is that you can’t change the battery, which also means you can’t check the battery to see how much life it has left. When I need something for an emergency, I want to feel like I can test its reliability from time to time. It would be great if the battery could be popped out and checked in a battery life checker (and of course if I could replace the battery as needed instead of having to buy a new one every year per the recommendations.) I’d pay a little extra for an updated version of this product with a replaceable battery feature.

I just moved in to my first apartment. Purchased this to have added security for when I go to the fitness center or laundry center or get home late at night etc. The sound is LOUD which is great. I also like that it came with a lanyard. The device is easy enough to pull and trigger the alarm but not so easy that it would accidentally sound. Only thing I did not like was that batteries are not replaceable. You have to get a new device. It does come with a one year warranty. The battery should last for 30 minutes according to the annual. It is recommended to test device monthly to make sure battery is still good. Overall I like this product and would recommend. It's a bonus that it comes in rose gold and is attractive in design.

Bought 2 as Xmas gifts. Tested both out to make sure the batteries worked. Let's just say my ears were ringing for a bit!! WHOA!! I was worried that the top would come undone too easily, causing false, unnecessary SUPER LOUD alarms, but it requires a good tug so I am not worried about it accidentally being pulled out. Good lil safety measure to have on hand while walking to the car late at night and for a child walking to school-the reasons for my purchase.

Since I received my iMaxAlarm I have not left home without it! I find myself getting home late from work and I love the sense of security I get from walking through the streets at night. My favorite thing about this alarm is that it came with a lanyard that you can wear around your neck. I love going hiking and having my iMax Alarm hanging from neck really gives me the confidence to go off trail! The Alarm is so loud that anyone will be able to hear me if I get lost! It's also more discreet and convenient that pepper spray. I am getting my mom and sisters all one. They make great gifts!

Solid easy to use product with Loud Piercing Sound. Bought this before going on a trip to a big city. Never had to use it. I now keep it clipped to outside of my purse for easy access.Fyi- The button does not press. To sound alarm, you yank & pull the body from the loop. Alarm continues to sound until pin is replaced.

I bought these for my girls for Christmas. When I pulled the pin out I was afraid it would be crazy loud. It wasn’t as loud as I thought. I would hope that if I ever had to use it the noise would be loud enough. So I give it a 3 stars. Price was good.

Small, sleak and it works. And I suppose it would be very loud if you put to your ear, but not truly loud enough to make a difference, say in a crowded party. Probably too small for that kind of noise. Recommend getting a bigger one.

I bought this alarm for my wife. The product arrived quickly. The iMAxAlarm feels light but solid. The lanyard and carabiner included in the box are a very nice touch. Other than personal alarm, I can think of many other potential uses for this product...perhaps as a jerry-rigged door alarm with zip ties in a hotel room when I travel.
