Killing Season (Violet Darger FBI Mystery Thriller Book 2)

I'm totally into this series!! The writers are terrific. The story keeps you involved and can't wait to see what happens next. Starting the next one now!

Agent Loshak is awesome. He's cunning, sharp and a mentor. His veteran years as a top notch profiler is teaching and giving Agent Violet the tools she needs as she evolves in her role as a profiler. Some of her decisions are questionable and causes one to wonder about her brain smarts & analytical ability; but as each book install reveals, Agent Violet is a willing student ready to absorb all that she can from Agent Loshak and learn from each criminal case they work.

Vargus and McBain did a great job with this one! It had a perfect combination of suspense and humor, with a tad of romance. I enjoyed the different sides and perspectives of the characters in this book. The build-up towards the end was captivating, however, and as with the first book, I felt a little unsatisfied...almost as if the ending was rushed.Overall, I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to others!

Fergus and McCain work well together as a writing team. The story moves along at a good pace. The characters are well defined. I truly enjoyed this one.

Held my interest from page 1. Ready for the next one! Finding it difficult to do my household duties instead of reading!

Great book in this series

This is the second book of the series where Violet Darger, an FBI agent, puts herself at risk again to solve a crime. Violet was at a family member's wedding when she received a call about a massive shooting. She flew in a rash with no time to change and went directly to the second shooting. The murderer is escalating, and the FBI does not have any clues. The shootings are causing fear in the population, and then the third killing and another followed when suddenly violet investigated the scene of the first shooting with another FBI agent. The agent felt on the ground, somebody was shooting at them, but why and more important, who?

Incredibly well written by two gifted co-authors who know what their readers want and they absolutely deliver ! The co-authors nailed it again!!! Non-stop action with well developed characters of depth and dimension.This book is just one in the Violet Darger series but would easily make a great ‘stand alone’ read without having to read the entire series. But let’s face it, read just one book from the series and you will be wanting to get the entire set!I had no choice but to devour this book in one sitting as I couldn’t put the book down. This always happens to me whenever I read any of their books. Ya gotta, ya just gotta give this a read!

If you are looking for a book that devotes four or five pages to a wedding a character attended (nothing to do with the plot) and a few pages devoted to the color of a dress THIS is the book for you!
