This was such a good book. I loved it

I saw a TikTok promoting this book. Bought it on Thursday, got it Friday. I have not put it down. Loved it! I just ordered the next two.

I loved this book and the amount of spice that is has definitely recommend lol

I was very disappointed in this read. Saw a lot of hype fir this book/series on bookstagram and added it to my book wishlist. So I was very excited when I received it as a gift.Firstly it advertises itself as a "mafia" romance but has little to no actual mafia bits to it so I felt like that was VERY misleading I was looking for more mafua style romance reads but this is not it.The whole book felt like I was reading a first (rough) draft. The plot was basically non existent, more then not forhotten by the author and when it would come into play it was full of plot holes.It was full of spice but with nothing to hold it together (aka a plot and real character development) so it left a lot to be desired. If your looking for straight smut and no plot/story etc this might be for you.It also was very rushed and chaotic at the end as if the author ran out of time or pages to work with.Ends on a strange "cliff hanger" of sorts that didn't seem to make sense but was put there to sell more books?? Idk

This book starts with an arranged marriage where in 2 people both assume they know the other party but of course have no clue. Alejandro is so sure he knows everything he needs to know about his new bride that its fun to watch as he is taken by surprise over and over again as she reveals who she really is. His assumptions are not all correct and he soon realizes that maybe he can love someone. Alauna has only 1 impression of her new husband and its not good. However through a series of trials and slow revelations she learns that he is actually exactly what she has always wanted.This book is an easy read. It is not lacking in Plot but its not so in depth you feel like you cant take it all in. Its easy to follow and while it does end on a cliffhanger it doesn't leave you feeling like a ton of plot holes were unanswered. The inner turmoil Alejandro faces as he fights against falling for his new bride is both funny and insightful! Alauna holds her own even when her inexperience in Alejandro's world is obvious.The writing is smooth and the editing and grammar are very good. This was a good book and I would recommend it!This book is also available on Audio with Gregory Salinas bring the hard as nails Alejandro to life and Charlotte Claremont voicing the strong and steady Alauna. Both do great work!

I love a good spicy book but this one seemed like it only really focused on the sex. There was really no plot to hold on to. It was still a good read because it did have a-lot of good in depth detailing for scenes.

I couldn’t finish it, the romance was super rushed, felt cringy and kinda felt like the author was living vicariously through the main character in a desperate way.I don’t like giving bad reviews but in all the books I’ve read I just couldn’t finish this one.
