Sentire Med SM-202 USB Rechargeable Sound Amplifier Beige PSAP

I use it for watching TV and it really helps a lot. I do get a some soft hiss, like wind, but it makes understanding what’s said in my movies much easier to hear, the fully charged battery last me several days. It’s pretty comfortable, I’ve even fallen asleep wearing it. I’ve never worn a hearing aid, but I’m told none are really great, so this seems to be a pretty good deal for the price.

So - after years of growing up with 4 brothers who didn't believe in volume control, my poor wife has some trouble hearing. In particular, it has been difficult for her to discern the difference between sounds when multiple things are going on at once ( I.e., differentiating between a human voice and a moderate volume on a TV or radio ). For some reason, this is primarily on the left ear.Anyway, we had a lengthy discussion recently and decided on trying out a sound amplifier which would help boost sound to make things a little easier for her. We searched for a few different options, and picked this one out - largely because you have the ability to adjust the gain and volume to find that sweet spot - and because we read that it lasts at least 3 days ( a friend has a different one which only lasts about a day at a time on a charge ).The difference before and after is astounding and she's able to wear this with her hair down without her students noticing. She mentioned today that she was able to pick apart a conversation between two students who historically have been able to get away with sneaking words with each other. We really like it, and highly recommend it for anyone who has trouble hearing, but maybe isn't quite ready for a hearing aid just yet. We also like that it's flesh colored, and that it's not too bulky when she wears it.

Had to return. Bought it for my 90 yr old mom she had a hard time trying to put it on. Although I tried it & the sound was not great. The seller was very good refunded my money right away

For the price, this is a great deal for the price. You can’t expect a honda civic to do what a rolls royce will, but both will get you to your destination.This PSAP, helps to pick up speech and the volume control is quite easy to use, I can understand phone conversation and watching the Tv is better. It has 2 positions to increase the gain and decrease the gain. You kind of have to play with controls to find the right spot for listening. It does pick up some background noises and at times I experienced a little hum or buzzing sound, but for $40, I ain’t complaining & I am not giving my audiolologist all my money.Another thing I like is the USB charging feature, it’s going on day 3 without charging which is great for me. I don’t have to keep running to the store when I have a dead battery so this USB feature is great. So far the results are fine for me, good PSAP

Plugged it in to charge and when it stopped blinking that was the indication that it was dully charged. Started to insert in my ear but it was screeching so loud that I had to back off. Turned down the volume control until the screeching stopped. Inserted in ear and heard nothing. Slowly turned up volume until screeching started again. This has nothing between silence and screeching.

Amplification much better than other inexpensive devices I have used. Not very flexible. I do like rechargeable rather than batteries, although I prefer docking station format.

Works great, goes about 3 days on a charge too! I'm very happy with it.
