The frame is all plastic and requires some basic assembly. The two stands must be pressed into formed tracks on the base. The balls are already attached. Unfortunately the packaging can cause an issue with the thin plastic line supporting the balls. For me one of the lines was broken, I'm not sure I want to bother repackaging and returning it or just purchasing one at a local store.

We couldn’t even try It out as It came all tangled. After a few hours of many of us trying to unknot It, it’s now collecting dust. My son was studying about this in school and was so excited to have his own. Visually if It wasn’t a big knot of the strings It would be nice to have out on a desk but completely disappointed and would not recommend.
