Good thick mat which you can see at the sides that is definitely 5 layers. The dimensions are correct and being black rather than the standard green makes a nice change. One side has metric measurements and the other imperial so is functional for what ever way you prefer to work. Run a rotary cutter and leather knife over it and heals well so expecting plenty of use out of it. I ordered the A1 size and it came flat packed rather than rolled up therefore good to go straight out of the box, rather than having to spend time to get the “roll” out of it. Overall a great mat that will be great for any crafts that require sharps. Fair price for a quality product and would definitely recommend.

Absolutely brilliant. Couldn't be without it. Bought as a replacement for a different make and this one is a lot less easily damaged. Even scraped hot glue off it without disturbing the white lines. Fab.

This is just what I wanted. Having previously looked at other mats of a similar size I was put off by the price. I ordered the mat and fully expected it to be poorer quality as the price was a fraction of others I had looked at. The mat is of excellent quality and almost covers my sewing table. The mat doesn't move and after cutting material using my rotary cutter there isn't a mark on the mat. I'm really impressed with my purchase and would highly recommend.
