I recently installed new tile in the kitchen and replaced carpets with hard flooring in the rest of the house. Laminate and wood flooring are great, but are susceptible to scratching caused by moving objects. Notice I did not say “moving HEAVY” objects, because I’ve seen wood damaged by items I would not classify as heavy. So, after installing new flooring, I knew we had to be careful moving objects. I bought enough felt backed furniture pads for every chair and table and furniture piece and I will review those separately. This review is for the larger “Furniture Mover” pieces, specifically bought to help put back our bigger furniture pieces such as a buffet, china cabinet, dressers and our behemoth of a refrigerator. A quick observation of key pressure points for the furniture or appliance to be moved ensured proper FELT placement. And since this was a new floor, I was sure to sweep clean the path I would be taking so that no grit got stuck to the felt and even attempted to cause damage as it moved. The absolute hardest part is getting the pieces correctly placed under the item to be moved. On the bigger pieces, I asked my wife to place the pieces while I lifted (and for the Fridge, I used a fulcrum to get leverage). These felt pieces were nice and large both in length/width, but also in height, which means they are thick enough not to get so compacted by the weight of the object being moved that they no longer move freely. Not a problem for this product! Where the felt side slides across the floor, the opposite side is nice grippy rubber and it mostly stays in place once the heavy item is placed on it. Once placed I easily moved all the items with the greatest of ease by myself, including monstrosity couches, epic dressers, towering bookcases and the aforementioned behemoth fridge. All moved from one side of a room to another and several were moved room to room (no transitions in the doorways). My wife was also able to move items by herself, which she was very happy to tell me about, many, many times. When I had carpets I used the smooth backed Teflon furniture movers for years. Now I am equally happy with knowing these felt movers are just as useful and efficient.

They really do help with my heavy furniture

Bought this for a new washer in my kitchen ( floor tile), bought other stuff much more expensive but this did the trick. Smooth like butta, baby. Worth it. Now I can slide my washer and not have such a struggle. Woohoo!! Worth a try if you want a simple solve.

Seems to work but I put it under a very heavy couch so sliding the couch was not has easy has I though- this might not be this products issue so I grade it on a curved.

We bought a large wooden, 25 cubby storage unit that was very heavy. We had to assemble it in one room and move it into another room. These movers worked great to slide it on our vinyl wood plank flooring. They are a nice size. We used 6 of them, two on each end and two in the center. we bought two sets to have them on hand when needed. I would purchase again.

Pool Table moved! I really didn't expect success with these. The 7ft pool table took 3 of us (2 to lift and 1 to place under the legs). But once done, the table easily slid off the carpet and onto the wood floor. From there it only took one of us to push it along the hardwood and into place. Incredible. I love stuff that just works.

Hi I have a huge gun safe (empty weight is 620 pounds) that I constructed an enclosure for in my basement and had to not only move this monster but the enclosure floor was 6 1/2 inches off of the concrete with a piece of 3/4 inch oak board for the floor that it had to move on. I saw these Super Sliders and thought I'd give them a whirl. After rocking the safe side to side and blocking it up with lumber, I was able to glue the pads to the floor of the safe. I rented a pallet jack and picked up the safe and we easily slid the safe from the jack onto the wood floor and gently pushed it into place. It slid with ease despite the mass amount of weight on the pads. I just left them in place obviously but I the unlikely event that it ever has to come out, I'll be able to simply do the reverse to the installation. I wasn't sure if these would work, WELL WORTH the $$$. If they worked under my safe, they will more than likely work for whatever you move.

SlidersPerfect for my wooden floors no more scratches

Bought these in desperation as needing to move an impossibly heavy double bed on uneven floorboards single handed. I thought I was probably wasting my money. Not so! Bed now in the right place after only moderate toil. Particularly useful as they are completely flat so fit under any legs etc unlike the cup types which don't. Excellent product.

We moved a lot of heavy furniture and several large appliances across newly refinished hardwood flooring, and these were awesome to use. The large surface area spread out the weight evenly and left virtually no scuffs or scrapes anywhere on the flooring.

They are ok, but no magic bullet for heavy items - guess you just can't beat gravity....

We kept these under the furnture as they looked nice and cld protect the floor.
