Discovery Channels Top 10 Deadliest Sharks Paperback – June 13, 2011

My 15 year old loves sharks and other alpha predators. Even though this book is easy below his reading capacity I got it for him because he stares at the pictures for hours then gets to drawing his own or making models from clay.Overall a good publication.

This graphic novel lists and briefly describes 10 sharks that are documented in attacks on humans.For some of the species, the book uses its space to provide scientific information about the species; in others, it talks about sharks in general. Much of the time, the book includes anecdotal information about a given species of shark, such as a description of a historic attack on a human.The book is not bad, but if you live your life without having read it, or even seen it, it is doubtful that you'd ever notice a gap in your experiences. The only word that comes to mind is “average”.RATING: 2 1/2 stars, rounded up to 3 stars.
