Tried AND tested! This passes with flying colors. Excellent product!
I'm a 41yo skincare junkie with sensative combo skin that I am obsessed with keeping as youthful and healthy looking as possible. One lesson I learned early is not to skip the sunscreen! I've also learned that different applications and activities usually require different products. I was already aware of Raw Love and buy thier mineral lotion often, but I needed something that could get small areas quick and that stayed on well. When I saw this stick, I had to try it out!It took a minute to arrive, but when it did the tube was sealed shut via a tamper proof tab on the label. The bottom of the tube has a lot # and expiration date clearly stamped. Being a natural product, and typical of SPF, this expires in one year (07/2025).Measuring 3/4" wide and a smidge over 2.5" long (yes, I rolled the whole stick out to measure), there's undoubtedly a generous amount of product here. With 18% zinc oxide as it's main ingredient, this stick is opaque, white and pretty solid. It doesn't have any added fragrance, but there is a super light scent to this that's very clean and natural. The stick is quite hard when it's cool/room temp and can be a bit difficult to apply directly to your face. It will pull a bit and it also does leave a white-ish cast behind. It's not old school, white nose, lifeguard style white, but you can see it/tell product is there. When it's warm though (sitting outside/in a beach bag on a hot day) it's a whole different story. While this never gets 'creamy' or viscous, the heat definitely softens it up quite a bit. It will still be in stick shape and firm and it won't glob off in clumps, but it is a lot easier to apply. It glides over the face well, straight from the tube. And for some reason, when applied warm, it barely leaves a cast behind.I like the feeling of the product on my body and suprisingly I don't mind it on my face either! This isn't super heavy or sticky at all. It absorbs well and leaves my skin feeling super soft. I haven't had any issues with clogged pores or breakouts and neither has my 13yo daughter. I really like how well this stays on. It's great for outdoor sports, swimming, for the kiddos playing, and the adults working/playing. It's sweat proof and holds up well in the water. This works very well too! And I can say that with confidence because I actually tested it!We just got home from Cancun. I brought this stick (which is fantastic for travel!) and some stickers that my dermatologist gave me that you put on your skin and apply sunscreen over. They change color (go from transparent to purple) when your sunscreen is no longer effective/needs to be re-applied. *While I have nothing against these types of stickers sold here on Amazon, and I actually think they are pretty useful, the ones I used are the real deal.I play beach volleyball, so I was in and out of salt water, blazing hot sun (UV index was at 10.5!) and of course, I was sweating like crazy. I put this on one half of my face and used a well known brand, same SPF, also a stick, on the other half. I put a sticker on each cheek and looked at the clock.About 30 min later, one of my teammates asked why I had a purple dot on my face. The other side had started to fail, and very soon after was a deep, pigmented purple. It wasn't until the 45 minute mark that my sticker on the Raw Love side even became noticable. It stayed very light, somewhat transparent even. By the time I hit the 1hr 15min mark, the sticker had fully turned. So I can say with confidence that this provides adequate protection, for 40min+, and that's in extreme conditions.I definitely think that this is another product that I will continue to purchase from Raw Love. It's a pleasure to use, reef safe and it works well!●I REALLY hope that Raw Love comes out with an SPF 50 stick soon! While the 30 is great, I prefer something a bit stronger for my face.

Why so expensive? Great that it's reef safe but way too expensive for single lip balm
My review is for the Raw Love Reef Safe Sunscreen Stick SPF 30+ | Nourishing Mineral Sunscreen with Non-Nano Zinc Oxide & Aloe Vera for Sensitive Skin | Fragrance-Free, Water Resistant, Baby Safe, Made In USA | 0.6 OzIt goes on smoothly and doesn't feel gunky or gross on the lips. It did feel nourishing as claimed. I like that it's "non-nano" zinc oxide, making this reef-friendly and thus great for tossing in my dive bag!But...the price of this is just not something I'm willing to pay again after trying it.Bottom line, this is priced FAR too high to be a reasonable every-day lip balm. I think they know that as well, since not 1, but 2 major discounts are offered but you must clip the coupon I guess to feel like you're getting a deal (40% off and 20% off, on a price of $16.99!)

Convenient for Carrying and Touching Up Sunscreen Application
My Raw Love Baby Sunscreen Stick arrived in its sealed tube, showing an expiration date of 07/25. By peeling back the label, one can access a list of inactive ingredients as well as directions for use. The active ingredient, zinc oxide 18%, is shown on the label itself for easy reference. The label states the product is plant based, water resistant, cruelty free, reef safe, and is distributed in Maui, Hawaii. This is a convenient product to carry around in a purse (even a small one) and is handy for touching up sunscreen application as needed. Due to its size and the fact that it is a stick, I would prefer to use it for that purpose as opposed to a general application of sunscreen, which would be more efficiently applied as a lotion or spray. As more is needed throughout the day, this stick would be very useful when you are out and about. Since it contains zinc oxide and uses microparticles (as opposed to nanoparticles), it will leave a residue on top of the skin. This tends to be white until rubbed in completely and also has a bit of a sheen. Without a tint, there is only so much you can do to remove the light cast that remains, although it is not ghost-like. It is also important to remember that mineral sunscreen, unless nanoparticles are used, can stain clothing. Nanoparticles provide for absorption of the product, although many people (including me) would prefer not to have the ingredients absorbed like a moisturizer. In my opinion, this is a good sunscreen that provides good protection, and I am happy to have this in stick form to carry around in my purse in case I find myself out for a longer period of time than planned and in need of a quick application of protection. It is free from added fragrance, and any odor that may be detected is from the ingredients themselves.I am happy to recommend Raw Love Baby Sunscreen for the reasons mentioned above.

Great for travel
This Raw Love Sunscreen Baby Sunscreen Stick is rated as 30+ SPF. It is in a glue stick-style tube and can be raised and lowered. It is a very thick formula, and probably best for spot use or touch-ups.I took this with me on a four-hour whale-watching cruise on a boat that stayed within 20 miles of land. Although I had put "regular" lotion-style sunscreen on my face and arms before the boat left the harbor, it was a very sunny day on the water. My friend noticed that my nose was turning pink from the sun, so I got out this sunscreen stick and applied it to my nose, forehead, and ears. I had tested it out on the back of my hands at home and it took a couple of hand washings to remove, so it has some staying power. The sunscreen stays wherever it is applied. There doesn't seem to be any need to massage it into my skin, since it is too thick to spread. I wouldn't use it as the main sunscreen for my face, but it really came in handy for my spot-use touch-ups. Even though it is great for travel, I keep it in my purse and have used it for my nose when I find myself outside in the sun longer than I expected.
