Drive-in Closet Door Ball Catch, with Strike Plate, Satin Nickel, 2 Pack

the original french door ball catch broke, i actually didn’t even know it was called a door ball catch until i googled french door accesssories. i searched youtube on how to fix a broken door catch ball and then ordered from amazon. i’m not a handyman at all but when i got the order i followed the youtube directions and now have a fixed door thanks internet!

A pair of ball catches. The satin-nickel finish matches my Kwikset Balboa handles. Good fit to replace the 20-year old builder-originals on my french-door laundry closet without any modification to the doors or jambs.If you were installing new, the hard part would be boring the holes correctly. The rest of the installation is easy.Pictured: Builder original (minus its outer jacket) on the left. This item (with its outer jacket) on the right.It's hard to tell if they'll hold up over time, but they feel like good quality, especially for the 2-pack price. Recommended.

I really only needed the strike plate, but could not find those sold separately, so got this 2 pack ball catch. After I went ahead and switched out the ball catch mechanism, holy cow, it is like a brand new door! Really makes opening and closing the door quiet, and smooth. Originals are 11 years old, I will now replace the other 4 in the spare bedrooms. What an inexpensive maintenance repair! The black plastic sleeve does slide off, as my originals did not have them, so after that they fit right in the original holes in the doors.

Purchased these ball catches to replace some existing units in our bathroom. One of the old latches popped the marble out of it. The existing latches required a lot of force (and banging) to latch. Remove both old units and replaced with these new ball catches. The process was simple and took less than 5 minutes. The new units are much smoother and no longer require the doors to be slammed to get them to latch.

Item arrive on time and seemed to be very good quality. Easy installation if you have installed similar item before, but no instructions included so you may need to look up on web how to install if installation is new to you.Would definitely buy again

I had to replace this on my closet doors which were both broke. After driving all over to hardware and department stores I finally got frustrated and tried to find a fix at Amazon. I was able tho buy yours 2 in a pkg and the worked great!! I was even able to adjust the ball height on one of them to hit the catch plate without having to adjust the door!! Took all of 5 min. to fix both doors!!

Excellent ball catch, they are much smoother and quieter then the ones I replaced. I will be purchasing more for some other doors. You won’t be disappointed with these, they are awesome!
