Smooth Taste, No Powdery remnants, "Best Bang for Buck" Recovery Shake
You're likely here after countless trials and errors of other recovery shakes. I've used a few, from "body building" formulas to other endurance oriented recovery shakes such as Ultragen. I know taste is a highly subjective thing but this formula has a pretty light and digestible taste when mixed with cold water. I have not tried with milk or other liquids because this will limit how much my body absorbs, its best to stick with water (plus it keeps the cost down). It tastes like a diluted chocolate milk but not as full... which to me is a good thing. If you drink this correctly, i.e., right after a hard training session, the last thing I want is something extremely potent. I need something quick that gets my body on the road to recovery ASAP.I used to use Hammer Recoverite. That stuff was nasty but it had good ingredients. I switched briefly to a Clif product (which tasted really good but was too expensive per serving). Ultragen isn't cheap. But if you look at the ingredients, you get the most amount of bang per dollar. A full serving of Ultragen is twice what the other shakes are. So I usually take a half serving, to keep it simple, a scoop per hour of effort. I highly, highly recommend this stuff. I do feel that it gets my body on the road to recovery sooner, as long as you eat real food shortly after drinking this stuff, and obviously, rest!

This stuff works.
I don't get too jazzed up about most things, especially when it comes to fitness products. Unfortunately, most over promise and under deliver. Not so with Ultragen. I started using this at the end of April, and broke protocol by using this both pre and post race. The results have been pretty unexpected, for both performance and recovery. 5 consistent 70 mile rides have seen an average drop in time of 10 minutes (average). I have to attribute this to the Ultragen because it's the only thing that has changed. I haven't dropped weight, haven't changed my diet, haven't changed the route, haven't changed my equipment, nor have I added or removed any other supplements. I can't explain the science and I'm not a nutritionist, so I don't have any real explanation other than this is one product that really works as advertised.

Works well, taste could be improved
I bought this for post workout recovery for HIIT workouts. It seems to do the trick but the taste is not my favorite... I can only tolerate one scoop mixed with 2/3 milk and 1/3 water. I recently had major abdominal surgery and am recovering and this powder is helping me tremendously with recovery and energy in restoring balance to my body.

Tastes AMAZING with milk and helps recovery
I play 3-4 hour tennis matches in the heat and usually get wiped out for the rest of the day with muscle aches next day. After I started drinking this immedeately after I seem to have noticibly more energy for the rest of the day and only very slight muscle ache day after.Water bottle with mixed with 1.5-2 scoops of Cappucino flavor goes down quick and easy but you get a delicious (and a heavier digesting) desert if you mix 1 scoop with a glass of milk.I fill plastic tube vials with screw on tops (through a funnel) to take portions of EFS electrolite mix and this recovery powder on the go.

I HAVE DOUBTS
I clarify that it is not the first time that I bought ULTRAGEN, in this purchase I found that the seal and safety changed, the texture of the product is also more liquid, sweeter, the taste changed and additionally it has red spots when diluted in the water.I have used it a few days but I have doubts if the product you sent me is the original or was modified, I already made a comment to the seller firts endurance but they have not answered me.I appreciate answering if the product changed and is reliable or is not the original.

Great recovery tool
Really great combination of ingredients geared specifically toward recovery after endurance exercise. I like it because I can just down a glass of this after a hard workout and I know I'm getting all the key vitamins, BCAAs, protein, and carbs I need for my best recovery, without having to think about it. I am a 28 yo female, 115 lbs and I run between 50-75mi/weeks during marathon training. After a 12-14mi workout or 16-20mi long run I will take 1.5 scoops of this (just due to my caloric needs/size) instead of the full 2 scoops. Then I follow it with a full "real" meal of protein and carbs about 2 hrs later, or when I start to get hungry. Just being able to plow through my toughest workouts and then get up the next day and do it all again makes me feel like this product is well worth it and does make a difference in my recovery. On the flavors: I've tried Tropical Punch and Cappuccino and FAR prefer the cappucchino. It's pretty sweet and really doesn't taste much like coffee (almost more frappuccino-esque), but a good pick if you don't like the fruity options.

No Gimmick, No Hype: the Stuff Works!
I'm typically a skeptic when it comes to supplements and such things. But a colleague told me about Ultragen Recovery. He said it really helps diminish soreness after "extreme" workouts. I've used it after my 30-50 mile bike rides and it is incredible! Per directions, I mix and drink a serving within thirty minutes of completing the ride. Even when I've been really sore and had moderate to extreme cramping, the results are amazing! I wake up the next day with no significant soreness, ready to go again. The formula mixes easily and completely and has an agreeable flavor. I tried cappuccino first and haven't seen any reason to try other flavors.

Easy to drink, works as advertised.
I use this when I have multiple of days of continues physical activity. Now that I am no longer in my twenties the soreness and stiffness from long hard bouts of work sticks around. I discovered this for endurance training and recently put it to use to aid in recovery for work where it works like a charm. I just drink it morning or evening depending on need in addition to my normal diet. doing this provides a noticeable reduction in recovery time without feeling any ill side effects for me.
