Comfortable, secure and a great value!
I bought this hammock to sleep in during an overnight off-roading trip in the mountains. Setting it up was easy using the tree straps that were included. I secured the hammock between my Jeep and a nearby tree. I jumped in my sleeping bag and then into the hammock. I had plenty of room and the extra fabric further covered around me which was great since it was snowing! I felt cozy and slept comfortably while my friends sleeping in tents on the cold ground were jealous by the next morning. Packing it back up was a breeze by simply stuffing it back into the compression bag. It's lightweight portability was also a definitive plus; one less thing to worry about. I will definitely be using the hammock regularly when camping and off-roading since it can be easily set up and used in any terrain. I am certain that by our next trip, my friends will show up with this hammock knowing that they will be much more comfortable!

Fair price - but equal quality can be found for less...
I just bought 3 hammocks from 3 companies: Barebutt $34.95, Northbound train $29.95 and Mad Grit $34.95 (now $39.95) I'm no hammock expert, but I do sew and I'm able to discern differences in fabric and stitching which help me determine quality. These hammocks are made of identical materials and are of the same quality. Bare butt comes with ropes which are supposed to be tied around trees- this makes it harder to put up and the ropes are too short to be versatile. The other 2 come with easy to use highly adjustable straps which lets me set up between fairly distant trees in less than a minute. All 3 come with either a strap (bare butt) or ropes (the other 2 brands) through the ends with a carabiner at each end to attach to a strap or rope. All seams are triple stitched for all 3 brands. The width of fabric are all similar- so that when I set them up, I couldn't tell them apart when I was lying in them. If I keep the Bare butt, I will have to order the hammock straps that are included in the price of the other 2. If weight is your main concern, the ropes are lighter weight but far less convenient. The bare butt comes in more colors. All 3 have the packing bags sewn on so that you could use it as a pocket for storage while lying down.

The best value, great hammock
I did a lot of comparison before buying a hammock. The options on amazon seemed endless and I'm a heavy researcher. TIP - when you buy a hammock, make sure you get straps! The ropes work, but are far far more unwieldy than these straps. The reason I chose this hammock is that it came with the straps. Many require you buy them seperately, which adds a ton to your bill. This hammock is great value, huge (fits two people easily), a cinch to put up given the included straps, easy to put away (the little bag is attached to the hammock so you can't lose it). My only complaint is that the straps don't fit in the bag. However, this is a minor issue and just get a couple of heavy rubber bands to secure those once you've rolled them up and you'll be set. Hammock is also very durable (left set up on my porch for two months and it still looks new).

As good as Grand Trunk
This is my second hammock. My first one is a Grand Trunk and i feel like this easily just as good as a Grand trunk hammock for half the price! I love that it comes with tree straps. They are heavy duty and so easy to set up. I like the multiple loops that allow you to hang at any height. I definetly would get another hammock from Mad Grit!

Just as TOP Notch as the Name Brand
I purchased this hammock as a replacement for an ENO that had been stolen while on a youth retreat this past summer. WOW oh WOW were we ever surprised. The quality of the hammock, durability of the straps and the ease of using the straps was equivalent to the name brand previously owned. If you are wondering if you should make this purchase, do not doubt yourself - do it! Ours has been utilized for the last 5 days as family relocated from the coast due to Hurricane Matthew and our houseguests love it too. The bag is large enough to store the hammock and straps together so you always have everything you need in one quick grab for usage. The carbineers were not flimsy and opened very easily. I would certainly purchase from this company again. The fact that they are a small business and able to offer a product of this magnitude and quality is wonderfully reassuring in the manufacturing industry in the US!

Trust me- you WANT this hammock!
I have to admit- this is one of the. Eat purchases I have made recently! This hammock is light, super easy to set up, and INCREDIBLY comfortable. I was initially skeptical about a solid fabric (as opposed to a mesh/rope hammock), but that skepticism immediately faded when I got in. The fabric is amazingly breatheable, and your back won't get sweaty. This thing has everything you need to hang it right away. The inclusion of the tree straps and D rings means you don't need anchor points- a brilliant selling point. The fact that the carrying/stow away pouch is sewn right onto the side of the hammock is also fantastic. Use it to hold your favorite beverage while your in the hammock.I am 6'5", 235 lbs, so it's really more of a single hammock for me, but a HUGE one at that. If you're not freak size like me, you should have no problem fitting 2 people in here.I can't speak to the hammock's durability over time, as I have only recently purchased and started using it, but it feels like this thing could withstand just about anything. It's already withstood my 10 month old daughter, and that's saying something! You can buy cheaper hammocks here on Amazon, but I won't be. Using anything but Mad Grit products from now on! HIGHLY recommend!

Great price. Great product!
Hell of a deal for a hammock. I was new to the hammock life, read the reviews and thought this would be the best bang for my buck to start out with. Especially with the fact that it comes with the tree straps. Most of the time they are sold separately. I've had it out 5-6 times now. Even left it out in the rain and sun to test durability. No loss in strength from what I've noticed. Did an overnight hike in Dolly Sods with it and it worked great. Got a little cool, but an underquilt or a heavier sleeping bag would've taken care of that.
