XFasten Heavy Duty Filament Tape, 2 Inch by 60 Yards

Finally purchased this because it was twice as long as the 3M alternative, despite the cost being about the same. Was concerned that a no-name tape would not be as good as the brand name. I was quite surprised to find that I actually like it better than the 3M tape.Why?1. It sticks better to cardboard boxes; much, much better than the transparent packing tapes which seem to stick to almost nothing.2. The tape does not tend to split longitudinally like the 3M tape sometimes does.3. My impression is that the fiberglass reinforcing fibers are actually thicker than 3M's.I'm extremely pleased with it and highly recommend it.

I am writing to say how useful this tape was in helping me move. All the free empty boxes that could be found were open top and bottom and folded flat. To reconstitute to boxes, they had to be unfolded and the bottoms taped. There were many boxes. DON'T USE SCISSORS TO CUT THE TAPE. This was a lesson learned the hard way. The blades get sticky and eventually the scissors don't open. Later, we used a knife or box cutters. The blade does not get sticky at all and we got a cleaner cut. Wow! The tape is strong! We filled a large box with heavy can good and the bottom didn't budge. That tape don't yield once the top and the bottom is taped up. The glue is so tight and the filaments are like iron so so only way to open a box is to cut into it. My possessions sure rode securely. That's my story. I would recommend this product if someone need a good durable tough tape that bond instantly.

This tape is very strong, which is what I needed in order to repair the plastic case for my beach umbrella. One thing to note, though, is that if you're using it for a repair like that, you need to consider the direction of the filaments. My first repair had the filaments going in the same direction as a torn seam in the plastic, and after one use of the umbrella the tape tore, exactly as the plastic had torn. But then I placed the tape across the tear so that the filaments were perpendicular to the tear, and it worked perfectly. In another place, where one end of a handle on the case had torn loose, I found that placing two (or even four) strips of tape at right angles around the end of the handle works best. Bottom line: pay attention to the filaments when you really care about how strongly the tape will hold.

I thought this was a great tape for shipping a huge 100 pound cardboard box that was pieced together. Very strong, very sticky, doesn't twist on itself, and it comes off of the roll easily, so it is easy to use. Amazon shipped FAST. Was supposed to arrive on Monday, and arrived Sunday morning!! Our local Menard's didn't even carry filament tape.

First, not easy to open the package. Next I keep loosing 1 or 2 of the filaments to the side and unable to reconnect easily. Other than that the tape i strong.

1st 2 pictures show bidirectional, this is not bidirectional. Now you’ve wasted 2 days when I need it now. Bait and switch.

I use it on sheet metal breaks to protect the finish, works great.

Very strong tape which I used to box a 85 lb air conditioner. The shipping box bottom was not in very good condition and the tape tightly secured and could not be removed without considerable force and safe for shipping return. Good value

recommend for Canada post orders, i tape the envelope sides when shipping silver coinsstill going strong 2 years later, time for reorder

This tape is very strong and transparent. It suits my purpose which is a bit unconventional.
