Q: Is this a day to day collar or just for when you take your dogs for a walk?

This is better for walks because of the handle. The handle makes it unsafe to leave your dog unattended in the collar - they can get caught and strangle themselves. But I ended up cutting the handle off so it’s more versatile.

Q: Will this collar irritating to dogs?

This is probably the best collar my dog has ever owned. it fits my dog perfectly, when I take her out for a walk she doesn't resistance, no discomfort.

Q: Has anyone else had an issue with the latch/buckle coming unhooked when just with normal play (1.5 inch collar)?

Yes I have had mine break out of the collar twice so far

No. It comes with a secure place to put your already purchased air tag
