Overall great product. Build quality is excellent. Adhesive is strong, but still have to reinforce it with clear packing tape in some places. Companion app is overall fairly easy to understand and use. Lights are very bright at full brightness, and can be dialed down as desired. It is relatively easy to change colors live in the app. Not a huge fan of color wheels and would prefer some kind of additional numerical RGB option as well so that consistent colors could be set across separate light strips. Once you figure out where the zones are mapped on the strip, it is easy to set up complex custom gradient scenes that look really nice. Automation is mostly good. Plays very well with Alexa. Spoken commands work as expected. Automated scheduled routines work well overall, in that things turn on and off when they’re supposed to. However, setting up automated color changes fails every time…either goes pure bright white or pure dark. Won’t, for example, switch to red or green when you set that up as an automated preset. Suspect it’s a bug in the app. Also, cannot automate a switch between different saved gradient scenes at all, which was something I was hoping this would do. Performance after a couple of months has been mostly reliable. I noticed a glitch in one of the strips where a couple of LED’s weren’t setting to the correct colors (very noticeably wrong), but this disappeared after I followed the reset procedure in the manual. Also, one of my strips temporarily glitched out and after a reset, the mapping of my saved gradient scenes had shifted so I had to redo them from scratch. No big deal. Overall, I’m about 90% satisfied with the product performance. EDIT: 1/16/23 Had to return the one strip because the problem with the errant colors on a few of the LEDs came back. Product was promptly replaced. I have found the Geeni app to be the way to go for setting custom colors and more complex gradients on the fly, and now prefer to use the Alexa app for most routines that control automated timers and basic color changes, given the additional flexibility Alexa offers for up to 7 voice command for the same routine. Still very pleased with this product overall.

I bought this to light up my kitchen countertop as an alternative to hiring an electrician to repair the overhead light. It's so bright and really makes working in my kitchen so much easier. Even at less than 50% it's brighter than an incandescent bulb and provides more than enough light to work by. It's easily controlled by the app on your phone, you can choose between cool and warm white, play with colors and flashing patterns, and even design your own color sequences. It's thicker than some other light strips, so it doesn't "go around corners" flat, but I'm okay with that. I'm glad I thought of this cheap light source!

Did not install, but dry tested on the bench. Nice function and colors. The "demo" modes show it's capability. The app is a different experience. I wish I had read about the app first, as I would never have tried it. I had no idea which app it needed. Reviews revealed it problematic, and it was. It crashed within seconds. I put it back in the box and returned it. The app was everything the negative reviews claimed. So, if you find a different control app or you don't need it, this is probably fine.

Almost all of my smart home product are Merkury. They are easy to setup, easy to use. They work well with the Google Assistant. They have a great app for control as well. This is my first time getting an LED strip. It's initial setting in white is bright. I have it installed behind my T.V. that's mounted on the wall. The strip provides a great ambient light.

I got one of these for my kid's room, with the idea that if it worked, I could add on to do the entire room. One set worked great and was easy to pair with my kid's phone to change the colors and patterns. The trouble was when I got 2 more sets. It was a little tricky to hook the sets to each other but I eventually got them all to light up. The problem is that the additional sets did not work in sync with the first. I spent a long time on the phone with customer service and they had me remove the third set, but even just 2 sets connected would not sync no matter what we tried. So now I have 3 separate sets of lights. I wish I had just bought one longer set to begin with!

I have a couple sets of these. The lights are high quality with dedicated leds for white light which feels very natural and to my surprise, this strip lights my room better than the ceiling fan light I was using before. I love being able to use google assistant to control them, and I also have it plugged into the outlet connected to my room's light switch, and it remembers its last setting when flipping the switch back on from off. More useful and convenient than I anticipated.

Wish they were a little brighter but honestly I love them. I have a queen sized bed and I just needed them to string along the one side & foot of the bed.. this length was perfect. These are WAY stickier and sturdier than brands I’ve bought in the past. Would probably purchase again. App was extremely easy to set up. Works perfectly with my google speaker!

i used this product to line against my wall and it wouldn’t stay on my wall for more than a few hours. i tried tape and it wouldn’t stay and continues to fall! so unless you are planning on using these lights close to the ground i wouldn’t recommend. the lights are fine, in fact i like them it just is ruined by the way it keeps falling off the wall.
