I purchased these after reading reviews for a dozen different brands (from dance specific to soccer pads) because I needed knee pads that could handle real impact without turning my legs into immovable armor. Many dance knee pads are too thin to be useful, while work knee pads are so bulky they limit natural movement. These pads manage to hit the sweet spot. They conform easily to my knees but don't dig in, thanks to the wide straps, and stay in place without feeling restrictive. I have come down on them hard several times, and they do an excellent job of redistributing impact away from the kneecap. I feel protected without feeling clumsy or over-padded. I use these regularly when trying new stunts, especially when there is a chance of falling, and I have loaned them out to several friends in dance class so they could test them as well. Every time, the feedback has been positive. One thing to note: I would not recommend them for pole since the straps attach in the back and I would expect them to catch or just pull off. For floor work, choreography, or impact-heavy movement, though, they work beautifully. They are also very breathable, which is a big plus during longer sessions. Even layered under a costume they weren't unreasonably hot. If you need reliable knee protection that still gives you full range of movement for plus size bodies, these are absolutely worth trying.

Wear almost every day. Has prevented many knee wounds.

These do their job, by protecting your knees, but I don't like the velcro straps design. They do tend to loosen up a but after some movement, but they will stay in place for the most part. If the straps are not aligned perfectly, when bending at the knee you can feel the scratchiness of the velcro at the back of your knee. Again, will do the job, but can be a little uncomfortable at times.

One size will fit soo many. My daughter felt uncomfortable in the ones that pull over the calf so these were great. Adjustable strong velcro so would fit small legs or bigger adult legs which is very versatile.

Did not find wearable.

I genuinely love these knee pads. I have fat knees and finding knee pads that fit and stay in place has been a chore so I was very pleased to find knee pads that fit well and stayed in place. I used them for the run of a 5 week musical where my character died on stage and these saved my knees and gave me confidence in my crawling across the stage to leave a clue right before my last big bit. Would also work for gardening or sports.

I bought these to use with my ultra light yoga mat. It was easier to get kneepads than to buy a new conventional mat and carry it around. The padding is great but the foam shifts during yoga, not the straps but the foam that covers your knee. I'm not sure if I should have sized down but this doesn't bother me enough to return them.

These volleyball kneepads offer good protection and cushioning during play. However, they don’t stay in place as well as the pull-up style kneepads. If you’re active on the court, you might find yourself adjusting them more often than you’d like.

Working on my knees all day, they were starting to swell. These supports are not easily seen under my scrubs and provide extensive cushion to help with knee pain.
