No need to waste your time on tripadvisor
Regularly taking trips to Paris and its surroundings, Nessy's book gave me a completely exciting view of the city that I love. By the time I had finished reading the beautiful book, the first time, it was covered in post-it notes of the places I will be visiting, it is full of interesting 'whole in the walls' and a range of places. Lots of exciting adventures for solo travel, visits with mum and dad and best of all, day outs with French friends. I would highly recommend the guide for an enjoyable read or as a much-needed improvement to TripAdvisor, down to earth but extremely knowledgable, you are in safe hands.

For the Paris you should be visiting
Wonderfully Insightful book about the unusual parts of Paris that a tourist usually misses. It’s a great book for dipping in and out of as well as reading at length. I followed her blog for many years and it’s well worth subscribing to.

We will never be tourists in Paris again.
We love this book. It took us to some fabulous places in Paris we would never have known about. A few things have closed or changed hands since the book was first published so always cross reference on google maps - would absolutley love a new edition! We’ll definitely purchase it!!

Interesting but needs maps!
This is an interesting book, I have the old version, however I wish it had maps. It is really annoying to read something of interest and then to try and find it. I don’t get the arrondissements! If I’m just wandering around how do I know which arrondissements I’m in? I want an index, of chocolate shops or vintage etc. This is a beautiful book but not practical. I guess I need an ordinary guide book to cross reference.
