Maybe it should be called the Rambler, for that new car smell.
Always on the hunt for good smelling body was and beard products. Stumbled upon The Gambler accidentally and it met my scent criteria. When the bottle arrived, it came with a thank you note and some cool stickers (throwing in stickers is major bonus points in my book). I discovered at first use the pump would not engage despite all my efforts. In the thank you note was contact information so I reached out with my concern. In less than 12 hours a representative responded with additional instructions and an apology. After trying her suggestions I was still without a pump. No sweat though, she offered to make it right ASAP. BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! This factor alone diserved 4 stars. The smell however is not quite as described. I liken it more to new car smell or a certain *Armor encompassing* car interior cleaner. Which, by the way, isn't all that bad. Expected some more subtle flavors, if you will, based on the description. If you are a washcloth kind of guy this ain't gonna latter real well unless you over do it in the amount. On that loofah thingy it works real well in the lather department. It doesn't seem the scent stays with you very long after a shower but that is why cologne was invented.Good product for the price but the smell is mediocre at best. Based on customer service, I will likely try other products they offer, to see if the scent is better suited.

It's ok
I really wanted to like this so much but I don't. The smell is ok after you rinse it off but my bathroom stunk for a couple of days. I probably won't buy this again. I also read all the reviews about getting cool stickers with it but I got nothing. I am still searching for a great manly smelling bodywash.

SMELLS LIKE GLUE
So, on my quest to find the perfect "manly" scent, maybe something wood inspired or better, I came upon this Body Wash. I ordered it, knowing how expensive it seemed compared to the rest of the competitors. Plus the ratings seemed to say that this scent "The Gambler" was something I should definitely try. The order came in quickly but I forgot how small 8 ounces seemed to be (then I remembered it's the size of a baby fountain drink. No problem, let's try it. I opened the bottle to take a sniff and was very disappointed as it had a chemical scent to it. But I still had to try it because, in my experience, sometimes when you apply the actual product to your skin, the chemical reaction will sometimes bring out the best in a scent. Not this time! I noticed the liquid was thick, almost snot-like, and when applying it, it continued to have the chemical smell, what I can only equate to a glue of some sort. Here I sit writing this review and contemplating taking another shower to wash this stench off of me. It's borderline headache-causing for me because it doesn't have a pleasant odor at all. I actually tossed the full bottle in the trash, as it's not even good for handwashing (IMHO). Sorry, but I wouldn't waste my time buying this scent again!

Not for me but mabe for you give them a shot
GIVE EM A TRY I pretty much liked everything about the soap except the smell...I read the reviews and I have to be completely honest... I too thought it had a hard to explain smell like 20 year old iodine. I really just didnt like the smell of this soap and i was sure to shake it VERY well so it was mixed up in case of settling. However..it really had a ...doctor office from the late 80s sort of smell. Like a mix of iodine smell with a hint of aspirin. It did smell a bit better after I actually used it in the shower..at least to me...but my wife absolutely can not stand it and I have only got bad feedback no matter who I ask and no matter the gender I would love to try some of the other kinds available but to be honest the small bottle, but however the fairly high price and the fact that I wasnt even able to use it makes me a but weary. Mabe that just wasnt the one mabe I'll try the fire in the hole experience. I'll be sure to write a review if I do or update this one as it's a great company with great products mabe I just need to find that great smell that's great for me

Strong scent!
If you like the smell of leather. This is the scent for you!I'm more of a clean earthy girl and with the company's help, I found my fragrance to be more in line with Home in the range.Excellent customer service. They went above and beyond even when they didn't have to. Highly recommend!

Shake It
If you don't shake it first you're going to be surprised by the strength of the leather smell and the pure strength of the burning in your nose.If you shake it you'll get a nice combo of bourbon, tobacco smoke, a hint of leather, and other light smells. It's amazing what the change is. The first time I put it on I didn't shake it and I was blown away, worried I'd wasted my money. Thankfully I noted the "shake well" warning (should have read that first) and was much more pleased with the result. The soap lathers up amazingly well. It actually works better at making me feel clean than any soap I've ever bought at the store, which was an unexpected nice side-effect. It goes on strong at first but smooths out quickly and stays around for a very pleasant light scent all day.It seems a little expensive at first glance but because it lathers up so well you don't need to use as much as you would buy at the store. I use a loofah myself and that helps it soap up even more - I'd suggest you do the same but I'm sure a washcloth works just fine.I'm bald so I don't know how it works as a shampoo but I use it in my beard hair and it seems to do a nice job. My wife likes the smell of it in my beard all day afterward.
