Great for a western costume
Looks good, fits in the leather holster I bought well too. Is a .36 caliber so Navy Walker. Handles aren’t wood but look like it from a distance. It cocks back but doesn’t rotate cylinder if you are looking for that. This is just for a western costume so I’m not worried about it. Is all metal, seems sturdy though doesn’t weigh near as much as a real gun if that’s something you want.

Great prop gun
First off I want to make it clear that this gun is not made of heavy steel (as one review stated) or steel at all. It is made of pot metal like toy guns used to be made of. The dimensions are very close to those of an actual 1851 Navy Colt. It has some heft to it but nowhere near the weight of a real gun. The hammer can be thumbed back and falls when the trigger is pulled. The cylinder will rotate only by hand. So you can turn it to suit yourself as far as what side looks best to you. The loading lever is inoperative. The grips are hard plastic. You can't easily twirl it because it is very barrel heavy and out of balance. You can do it. But it's awkward. It mimics an engraved gun pretty well.If you don't care about complete authenticity it is a good decorative piece to display. It makes a better prop because when holstered you can't see where it differs from an actual gun so much. For the price it is a very good buy.

Nice revolver to display
It is a very cool western style navy revolver to have on display. The hammer will sometimes not lock back when you pull it back. The wood grips are a hollow kind of plastic. Still overall good quality and looks cool.

Beautiful piece
It doesn't rotate when you pull the hammer back but other than that its beautiful and makes a great collectors item and Halloween costume piece.

Sturdy and heavy. Great item
Good prop! I use it for a western party theme and now it sits on my bar and everyone adores it. The kids passed it around for photos and it held together great. I’ve had it for over a year now.

Good looking. Can be used for cosplay. Very fragile .
I like the price. Some parts are flimsy but hold together for $30 pretty decent. I have a holster when I had a real colt .45 peacemaker and this 1850s Navy revolver fits and can draw good out of the holster despite having a long barrel. Update a few weeks ago the revolving cylinder broke off . It wasn’t a solid piece. It was hollow inside and the cover was only seated in and not welded on and it broke off! I couldn’t fix it so I threw it away. I bought another one from someone else spent more money and this one is strong! Not recommend this.

Prop gun
If only Alex Baldwin had this, some folks would still be here! This is a great prop! We bought it to flush out a display for cowboys, vintage looking, and feeling… we have it hanging on a wall in our living room and everyone always asks if it’s real. It’s not!
