Perfect for my 6 year old!
Update: He has been playing for about a month now and he loves it. He doesn't really need any help and this is actually helping him with his reading as some of the missions require some minimal reading, like knowing the difference between pressing A for accept or X for cancel. Otherwise, he still loves it and Im happy I got it for him.I got this for my son's 6th birthday. During his 5th year of living I had purchased him the Minecraft tablet edition and then saw that minecraft for the switch was on sale so I got that for him. He struggles a bit as he can't read yet and isnt sure exactly what all of the items are.I figured I would get him Lego Worlds as like most kids his age he loves legos. This game has a similar concept to minecraft but its geared towards kids his age. The pop up's are basic and show you what button to hit so he isn't running to me asking what to do. A sample "mission" is Collect 5 pigs and 5 sheep. It shows a number 5 and a picture of a pig and a sheep and he goes oah daddy I need 5 pigs and 5 sheep. Simple, perfect. This is the first game that he can power up and play without any assistance. Even Mario Kart requries some adult input from time to time but I haven't had to help him with this at all.

Limitless possibilities
The game is very fun, for all ages. It is rather easy to understand, the gameplay is rewarding yet simple. The creation tools are very extensive, you can landscape, build brick by brick, or use premade models to build a city in minutes. The minifigure's behavior is somewhat bland, they walk around randomly, zombies and skeletons attack people, they normally run away. I have experienced no glitches at all (in about three hours of playing), but when I go underwater the frame rate drops a bit. There is no online play despite Amazon's description. Graphics: 7.5 (crisp and clean, nothing to write home about) Music:6 ( forgettable, but not unpleasant) Gameplay:8.75 ( wonderful concept, executed near perfect) Overall:8, well worth the price. I hope this helps!

Creative expression extended from traditional lego builds! 7 year old loves it!
My son who is 7 loves this game. He has many bins of legos and can be engaged with builds for hours. This gives him another creative outlet. Although any video game time is limited to 30 min a day. My son loves inventing and creating objects. As a gift for his graduating to 3rd grade (gifted) we purchased it for him. His friend in his class told him about it. He watches the LEGO App on our Roku and has learned a few things about “builds “ he has incorporated in his creativity. He is so excited and from what I can tell his imagination has no limits with the program. Although we have only had this for a few days, it seems very creative and something he will enjoy for years to come. I hope this helps. Many blessings to you and your family.

It's a LEGO game
It's a LEGO game, so it's full of goofy quests and items to mess with along with building different things with blocks. You get to go through different worlds and unlock new items, characters, and buildings. You go into the worlds, complete quests for the golden blocks in order to discover some of the set worlds. It is fun just to mess around and use the different tools the game provides you with. It is interesting, but it suffers from a couple of issues. Framerate is a big issue both in docked and undocked mode. Drastic dips in performance happen in certain areas, dropping below 30 fps. There is also no online multiplayer at the time of this review. There are some positives though, as the devs for this game are quite active, and have noted issues that will be addressed on reddit including it's main screen icon, multiplayer, and some of the fps issues in future passes, though no date is set for it. Overall, it's a decent game. I don't regret the purchase as it is fun, even with some of the issues.
