Beautiful, everyone thought it was so expensive
Loved this. Purchased for a wedding overseas.. Beforehand, all I knew was that weddings there were much more formal, and people wore fancy, long dresses (almost prom-like). And I was basically told that the family has great, expensive taste.... aka, to avoid embarrassment, wear something beautiful, high-quality, and yet appropriate. THE PRESSURE!LUCKILY, that pressure made me so indecisive on choosing the perfect dress that I suddenly ran out of time and had to find a dress that would arrive ASAP. This was my "best" option, so to speak. Turns out, it really WAS my best option!Everybody at the wedding loved it, asked where I got it, how much it was, etc. They thought it must've been very expensive bc it was so well-made and beautifully-fitting.The great fit has a lot to do with the corset waist. It is structured (which adds to the quality look/make) as a corset is, and it allows leeway room for those who are "in-between" sizes or a little unsure. SIn clothes, I often wear a 4, but I'd been finding that in formal dresses a 2 fits me better (which is sometimes the case with certain clothing items, depending). But I didn't have the time to take a risk! So I went with the 4, but in reality I could've chosen either size and would have been fine. B/c you can adjust by pulling the ribbons tighter or looser in just the right places, so that the dress fits like a glove. The only difference is this: if you're in between sizes and choose the lower size, you'll tie the back less tightly (and might actually be the better idea, looking back) because the ribbon's criss-cross in the back will be looser and more visible (or visible at all).... On the other hand, by choosing the larger size (as I did), it'll still fit fantastically b/c you can pull the ribbons tighter, but if you have to pull them too tight, the dress ends up touching itself (almost closing entirely in the back), so the criss-crossing of the ribbons is pretty much unnoticeable. Though you will, of course, still see that there's a tie-up back and the ribbon bow, but it wont be as profound. This was the case for me; I might've liked the criss cross to show more, but then it would've been too loose. but not a big deal, gorgeous both ways. Maybe consider your chest area/armpit area most.My only "qualm" is that yes, as others have said, the sleeves are SO CONSTRICTING. And the coutnry where I was, they dance A LOT.. and with their arms raised in the air pretty much the whole time. ha! So I was pretty nervous about this. I ended up just pulling up on the sleeves as high as possible towards my shoulder to the point I thought they might rip... but nope! The sleeves were very resistant!I'll post pics asap

Odd fit and a disaster to try on by yourself!
Really wanted to love this dress but the fit is terribly unrealistic. I'm 5'2" 120lbs, top heavy, no hips, bigger thighs/butt. 34-28-36. Bought a 6, black, and the hips were way too big yet the chest was too small, and the arm holes were even tinier! I can't even imagine how the 4 would've fit (my normal size but according to their sizing chart I aimed to fit my chest and waist so I wouldn't look prego when I'm not)! Also, forget about trying this dress on yourself. The corset back is impossible to do yourself. I pre-laced it with hopes I could just pull the strings at the bottom to tighten once it was on. Boy was I wrong!Normally I step into dresses but my butt couldn't get past the waist of the dress. So then I put it over my head, arms straight up, and struggled for a good 5min hopping up and down until I was able to smoosh and lift my boobs enough to get it down. Inside there is a stretchy strap to go around your back to keep the dress up, again absolutely no way to do this yourself. The dress itself is pretty impressive quality for the price though. Absolutely no give/stretch, and there's boning in the bodice. If you can get this dress to fit you, and have help putting it on, I'm sure it would look amazing. Since everyone has different body types I'm giving it 4 stars for the quality and appearance. This dress would best suit someone who has a smaller chest and normal to bigger hips. Not me, returned it!

Found my wedding dress!
This is my wedding dress. I LOVE it! It's so flattering, and the corset back makes it easy to adjust if you lose weight before your wedding! It's very long, but that's to be expected. Just needs hemmed. If I had bought a similar dress at David's Bridal it would cost $1,500, $2000 easy. It has a lot of detail at the neckline, and the lace and satin feel exquisite. I'm buying this veil to go with it: 1T 1 Tier Floral Scallop Embroided Lace Pearl Veil - Ivory Fingertip Length 36" V471 . I haven't received it yet so I'll update this when I do, but it looks like it will match this dress like they were made for each other. There is a small pink stain on the lace up ribbon, but it can easily be hidden. The dress needs dry cleaned, it comes folded up in a regular package. The lace under the arms can be a little itchy. This review might change as my wedding date comes closer, but right now I am so in love with this dress. I have never been so emotionally attached to a dress before. This was the second one I tried through Amazon - the first one was also VERY nice, but as unflattering as a dress could be on me. I looked like my hips were ten miles wide. In this one I feel curvaceous and vivacious! I would have preferred the lacing be a little tighter, but a work friend was helping me and we didn't want to take too long - we were at work! I plan on wearing an under dress corset - it will be under bust, because this dress has extra supports and a little padding so no bra is needed! Also it won't hide any panty lines, so you'll want to wear hose.I'll add more after the wedding so you can see it in action!

Made a Short Pregnant Bride Happy!
Loved this dress! Bought it for my wedding, it ended up getting setback by a few months because of COVID, but we had a small wedding with close family and people we have plenty of contact with. Originally when I first got the dress, I was 2-3 months pregnant, the dress fit nicely, hugged my small frame pretty good, but with the wedding pushed back, I'd just became 5 1/2 months pregnant when we actually had our wedding. The dress still fit great!! I'm 5'2, a little over 100 pounds and have D Cups that're now bigger than all of my bras. (Yaaay milk production...) Highly suggest buying the stick on bras! I did need platform 6" heels as the dress is a little bit long for my height. Ordered a size 2. Thank goodness for the lace-up in the back, I'm the shortstack gal that you don't see is pregnant until you see the front of me with my belly sticking out some. We did have to unlace the back completely to get me in it because my hips have expanded for the baby, but this dress exceeded expectations. Super happy to have gotten this! Only complaints would be the little plastic "gems" on the top of the dress as I'm slightly picky about anything jewelry related, but they don't "pop" or stick out thankfully. I still loved this dress, especially for the cost I was expecting to pay for a wedding dress.

Beautiful but tiny
Gorgeous dress but runs WAY small! I ordered a 16. I'm just under 5'9 & just under 200lbs, measurements are 40x37x47 & I could not begin to get this dress on...I actually got stuck halfway in it & had to get my son to help me out...(it was quite comical). The material is black lace over a non-shiny satin type polyester which has absolutely no give. If there had been a zipper option I may have gotten further, but it has a corset lace up back, while not a bad idea for adjustability, you definitely need a second person to lace you up after your in it, or you need to be thin enough to wiggle in it after you initially loosly lace up the back. If there was some give in the material, it would allow the dress to slide over your curves, but I'm not sure how to get into this one...I attempted over the head after I realized there was not a chance in heck I was going to be able to step into it, & that is how I got stuck...I have a thinner friend I'm going to let try it on...if it goes on her I will update & let you know her measurements so you'll know what a 16 will fit onto. I would love to give it a higher star rating, but the sizing is just too far off.UPDATE: My friend tried on this dress - she is normally a size 8/10 and wears a 34B bra. This dress was somewhat big on her, but not by much. she was planning to re-order down a size to a 14 or 12 & see how that fit

Beautiful dress!
This is a gorgous dress! I got it for my college's Spring Banquet and I got so many compliments on it! I got it in the color lavender and it is such a beautiful color! It's great quality for the price and I didn't have to do any adjusting. I got the dress in a size 10 because I'm about 145lbs (5 feet tall too) and a size 10 anywhere else is my size (I also followed the measurements they gave for the dress and it said that I was a 10) and I honestly probably could have gone a size because it was just a tiny bit tight in the belly region, but that's judy because I seem to hold my weight in my stomach region. Though it still wasn't uncomfortable with the slight tightness, though the corset looked just a tiny bit awkward because of my stomach (and the front showed a bit of an outline of my bellybutton, which may be the thing I wasn't really comfortable with with the dress). One thing that I would like to point out aboht this dress that may be a downfall for some women. The dress was the perfect length for me when I was wearing my heels. It didn't drag on the ground at all but it hid the heels. The reason that may be bad for some is because I'm only 5 feet tall (like I stated before) and I was wearing 5 inch heels, so I was 5 foot 5 that night. Anyone over 5 feet 5 will probably have their shoes exposed or it being too short.Overall though I love the dress!

Size did not go well for me...But I fixed it
It almost fit perfect...a little too close. I ripped the seam down my hip...the good news? It’s easy to add two 16 inch side panels to each side to expand the dress so I don’t do a SpongeBob square pants moment in public. I gave my hips some room so I can move and actually sit. I do plan on adding a button for the inner panel thought as well. I’ll add pictures later once I’m done. I ordered a size 8 and it didn’t go as planned to say the least. I ordered again a size up and they sent me the wrong dress 😂. I have bad luck y'all... it’s ok thought, the dress is still beautiful just needs some TLC. I promise to update this later. Also the dress if you can get the right size and dress is worth the money btw. It’s even better in person. So after two weeks of resewning an entire dress and Hemming the entire thing it on both sides up to the hip it worked perfectly adding the panels and expanding the dress on both sides with extra fabric to my knee. It’s a perfect military ball dress btw.

Know your size before you buy.....
The dress is beautiful by far.The only problem was the size, which is my fault as well. I looked at all the other reviews before ordering mine and the "fit" review as well and ended up ordering 1 size too small and am now having to get the dress altered. So with that being said this is my advice to all the ladies that order dresses online.....1st go to a store and try on a few dresses with different material to get a general idea of what size you are. 2nd when you go to order online get the size that is 2 sizes bigger than your normal, the reason so is so that if the material on the dress is lacy and clingy; you'll 1 be able to at least try the dress on to see if you truly like it on you and 2 if you still like the dress you can always have it altered to fit you just the way you want the dress to fit.....So ladies I hope this review is helpful for you and also, keep in mind, order a size 1or 2 bigger to make sure it fits. Also photos to come soon.

Holy Tiny Sleeves!
I'm 5'1" and 135, 34C/D and ordered an 8. My hips are narrow so the 8 fit fine, however if you have a booty or wide hips, you might size up. The problem area for me was in the bust area. The lace up the back was awesome but pretty stretched to hold up the girls and while there is support, it's not C or D cup support. Length was long but not horrendous with heels. Fabric was really nice! I will be returning because of the sleeves. I have average arms and they were pretty uncomfortable once the dress was on. There is no stretch and the average arm is going to fill them out to where this is no wiggle room so the fabric is kind of painful too. I couldn't even raise my arms to put my hair up in a low bun, had to have my husband do it for me! haha If you are in great shape and have C cup or less, possibly with bra, and tiny arms, this dress is a steal!

Super glad I picked this dress!
This is an extremely pretty and flattering dress. Definitely go by the measurements and not the number. You’re not gonna like the size number. I also suggest when measuring the hips/butt/thigh area, wrap your tape around and sit down. Use that number because after the corset part there is not much wiggle room. Unless you plan on standing the entire time. The corset part can always be adjusted. There is built in bra support with it’s own bungee strap and lining, which is such a nice bonus. Also, because it’s lined and with the lace overlay most undergarments aka “torture devices” are well concealed. As earlier posted, you will not be able to use your upper arms after putting this dress on, but it’s worth it. You will need help tying the corset, but I was able to do most of it and slide in only needing minimal help, It’s very well made and again, super flattering. Very classy and sexy at the same time. For reference, I’m 5’7” 135/140 lbs, average build, hips are 36.5”, usually wear a 4-6, I bought this dress in a 10. Fit like it was made for me. I’ll cut the size tag off.

Right the first time
I was hesitant ordering this for my daughter for prom without her having the opportunity to try it on first. But it was the exact look she was going for. So, we gave it a shot and we’re so glad we did. We paid close attention to the sizing chart in hopes we’d get the right size, but we also ordered early enough that I knew we’d be able to exchange it in time if it didn’t fit. Using the chart helped us select the correct size the very first time though. I did make sure to measure my daughter myself rather than relying on what sizes she currently wears since my experience with formals has been they run differently than other clothes at times. It is a nice length for her since it’s not too short to wear heels with, but not overly long if she takes them off. The corset back was especially nice to have. We had plenty of room to adjust it to fit. The dress is beautifully beaded. All secure as pretty up close as they are further away. We’re very happy and will make sure to check out this brand for future events.

Lovely details on the dress. Looks very authentic.
Very beautiful dress but I had to return it because I got it for a black and white party but it looks too bridal. I wish i found this dress 4 years ago for my wedding. It would have been a better option from my over $1,000 wedding gown that I got on sale at David's Bridal. I would definitely recommend this dress for a bride but not a black and white party as you may look too bridal, unless that's the look you're going for. I might try the other colors at a future time as they may not look as bridal as the white one. For the size: I weigh 108lbs and 5'4. I got the two smallest sizes, i think xsmall and small. The xsmall fit very well but was a tad bit tight, barely a big deal, and the small fit very well too giving me a little wiggle room but not as shape forming for me as the xsmall. I have pictures of me wearing the xsmall. Oh and you definitely need someone for the back of this dress to lace you up or down. However you like.

Gorgeous, but I ordered the wrong size.
This is a truly beautiful dress. I absolutely love it, however, it has to go back because I ordered for my hips, as recommended, and it's too big on top, even laced very tightly. I'm petite - 5'2", 112 lbs, with a tiny chest - 30, 26, 36 and I ordered a size 6. I had a bit of extra room in the hips (although it fit well there, it could have been tighter and still be lovely) but the shoulders were too broad and of course, even in my super padded bra, the bust was big. I think a size 4 would be perfect for me, but it won't come in time for my event. boo hoo. I did want to say that when I ordered this dress, I was under the impression that it was in stock and PRIME/ 2-day shipping, but it was not. It got here 12 days earlier than they told me it would (after I bought it I noticed it wasn't prime) but I only bought it in the first place because I thought it was prime - which would give me time to hem it.

Cheap looking! Dirty packaging & sizes COMPLETELY WRONG!
Horrible!!!! I ordered 2 dresses in 2 sizes to attempt to get a great fit. I'm 5'6 and weigh 160. My measurement are 38 -30- 41. I generally wear about a size 10 or 12. I knew it was a mermaid type fit so knew to order up to fit my hips & knew to follow the manufacturers measurement chart to ensure the best fit. Based upon the measurement charts specific for the dress I ordered up and went with sizes14 & 16 to ensure room for my hip measurements. BOY WAS IT WRONG!!! First off, the size 16 was actually SMALLER than the size 14!!! Not to mention the size 16 was sent to me inside out (like someone had returned it & they failed to repackage it properly). Also the size 16 looked like it had a big mark on the lace like it had been worn or damaged & appeared dirty. The size 14...which AGAIN was bigger than the size 16 was so off in the hip measurements that it would BARELY pull up midthigh!! At this stage I'm just standing there giggling trying to figure out "in what damn world is this a size 14? And did I accidentally order from a child dress size??? Lol!??"I by no means think I'm the world's thinnest girl babes! Granted I'd love to be a size 6...but Im not!! Nor do I try to squeeze myself into sizes I know will never fit me. I just wanted the dress to fit me great - so I took my detailed measurements, ordered by the manufacturers charts for that specific dress and was just sorely disappointed. I will be returning both immediately! Not only was the dress cheap looking & came poorly packaged & dirty...but the dress was completely off the size measurements.I thought the price was great & the picture looked AMAZING!! But in real life it looks cheap, came packaged dirty & apparently a size 14 is BIGGER than a size 16. DO NOT ORDER THIS DRESS!

Overall, very happy with this dress.
Overall, I'm very happy with this dress. It fits the way it looks like it would and the way I wanted it to. My only 2 complaints would be the "sleeves" and the corset "insert." The sleeves are way too tight; I ordered his dress for a formal event and when I tried it on, I couldn't raise my arms more than 2 inches away from my side, so I had the arms removed to make the dress strapless. As for the corset insert, it doesn't stay in place very well at the bottom, so I also had the bottom on the insert stitched to the dress lining to hold it in place. As for sizing, I am usually somewhere between a 2 and 4, I ordered a 4 and had to do a little wiggling to get in on and in the right place, so I could've gotten away with a 6, but the 4 is fine too. Otherwise the dress is perfect.
