The book is very hard to keep open while working from it. The writing and information is spot on. Yet the publishing is NOT!What is wrong with spiral binding? You could make the page size a tad larger and cut the pages down too. AND it would lie flat! WHile taking up less space on the desk.Come on seriously?

Chapter 1-9 provides a systematic progressive approach using C3D for simple civil site design allowing the reader to clearly follow a series of commands. Most lessons conclude with typical problems and solutions for the respective C3D functions. However, Chapter 10 "Advanced Corridors, Intersections, and Roundabout" is arguably the linchpin in 3D civil design and the author of his chapter instructs the reader using wordy language, reverse order, and incomplete command strings causing an already complicated topic to become more frustrating. Chapter 10 omits explanation and examples of horizontal relocation of the intersection. I read 520 pages leading up to intersections excited for alignments, profiles, corridors, and surfaces to all converge (literally) but the chapter is a major blunder. I will modify this rating if the remaining chapter make up for the disappointment.

Got this for my husband for his job and he said that it has been a huge help.
