Good invention
With the protective strip around the blades you are safe from hitting the wooden fence and other object. Easy to use. This thing rocks!

I got sucked in by the infomercial
Ok, here is the jist of this product. I got sucked in by the infomercial. The Product shows and looks great and The concept is terrific. I would not have purchased it otherwise. However, the one problem is it does not work. First and foremost it does not trim close enough to an object. Because of The "guard" or ring around the blades, it does not allow the blades to cut close enough to an object and you're left having to hand pull weeds or use your string trimmer to finish the job. You CANNOT edge with this head, it simply does not work in this manner. One good thing about this blade is for open field areas as long as the grass is not too long. It functions more or less like a mini handheld lawnmower. If the grass is too long, it will clog the blade and you have to stop and clear grass caught up in the blades frequently. The product is inexpensive enough and looks great on paper, but unfortunately it just does not make the cut. Sorry.. Tony O

Photo's Speak Loudly
This does work in tight places and can cut grass with little or no dammage but its strickly light duty.I use an old commercial style head where you replace a line you cut yourself.I have never been a fan of the self feed because they are just a pain to maintain.I do my own yard on the Gulf Coast of Texas where there is yard growth year round.String cutters can ease into grass but this Orbitrim is all in and the result is wrappinggrass around your shaft and its housing. You cant just use a blade to cut it away and it happens every time.I dont care how sharp the blades are, it just does not cut the stuff.Look at the included photo's and judge for yourself. What you see is done in seconds with almost no grass cutting. If you have a small well maintained yard this still could work for you.But you must keep in mind it is made for gas trimmers and will not work for most electric.Other than that you should take a pass.

Nice but problematic..
The idea is sound but the blade will catch on bottom of the chain link fence. One day use and the one blade has at least a 1.5 to 2mm gouge in it. I will need to file if I continue to use it. There is a strange thing that happens and that is where the blades meet the outer circle grass forms over the blade causing no cutting action for about 2.5 cm on each blade. The blade becomes unbalanced and you need to stop the blade to clean the clumps of grass off each blade. In the open for a short time the blade performs like a champ and getting into areas to clean that a string attachment would not be able to do. Well that is my experience with Orbitrim Pro.

Good idea, bad execution.
The idea behind it is great. But the practical application is terrible. First the installation; I have an older Echo with a male screw. The gap between the metal washer and the Orbitrim pro is very, very small...the included black washer/spacer is about 8 times too thick. After a little improv, I was able to close the gap. The outer ring, designed to protect damaging things...pushes the weeds away that is very close to 'object', instead of cutting them. The supposed "very sharp blades", are just thinner than a butter knife. Speaking of the thin construction, I believe it would bend if it was dropped, fell, or stored wrong. For tall grass/weeds, you'd have to come down vertically and THEN do a weedwacker sweep. Grass/weeds have to get inside the outer 'protective' ring to be cut.I do not it would out live a fully wound spool of trimmer line...definitely not two spools.

Total Waste of Monday. Very Deceiving.
This product doesn't cut the way it's depicted on TV, nor in the ads. I tried to edge my sidewalk/grass area and all it did was push the grass down. When I went to try using it around my trees, the device came off of the end of my trimmer. Damn lucky it didn't fly toward me and injure me. The inside blades require you to hover over weeds just to attempt cutting them, and it really doesn't do the job at all. So in a nutshell-- useless, deceiving and dangerous. Do not waste your money. Frankly, I'm embarrassed I even bought one of these "As Seen on TV" devices. Never again. Oh, and they made me pay the shipping to return it. Talk about salt in the wound!

Qualify Trimmer Head
Recently purchased this Trimmer Head and installed it yesterday on a Makita 36v Trimmer (the instructions suggest that it's not compatible with Battery Powered Units), seems well made, it's well balanced while running and the variety of hardware should allow for fitting on a wide variety of Trimmers.
