It works as advertised. Outputs to both ports at same time in most cases. However in my use I've found that it does not output RCA and only uses the optical port while using a Chromecast with Plex. (That's probably just something with Plex though, I'll try with a direct connection from my computer later and update the review)In every other case it's been great. I have a sound bar hooked up to the optical port and two large subwoofers on the RCA port. With the inherent delay in the sound bar and the zero delay with the analog output I've found the delay to be too annoying in TV(ARC) mode. Switching to PASS helps with the delay to make it almost unnoticeable in most cases.

Maybe I received a faulty unit out of a batch of great ones, but I would not recommend this product. First, the power adapter did not work at all. The cord was faulty. I switched it out with my cell phone charger cord, and the power to the box came on. I was relieved to think that I had finally solved the issue. I was wrong. As soon as I plugged in the unit, a poof of smoke erupted from it. A chip or some wire in the unit must have gotten fried because the box never worked even though the power was clearly on. I returned the item and was refunded my money, but now I have to hunt for another converter. Waste of time.

So far it works fine. The picture is still good and there is no sound delay. Plug in and you are set. That easy.Update 7/15/2018 There seems to be a power glitch. The light flickers on and off and disconnects. I checked the connections and they are fine. Nothing is pulling. Frustrating when you are watching a movie and get a black screen when the HDMI is disconnected. It happens every 10-30 minutes. Had to unplug :(

I was stunned to realize my new OLED TV did not have a built in audio out jack for my wireless headphones. After living without it a while, I found a way to resolve it. This device works perfectly. Other products have additional ports and features but I just needed this one output for my needs. All my input comes from my Tivo HDMI so this fits between, and works perfectly. Happy!

The TV doesn't have an audio output, so this was just the ticket to pipe audio from my chromecast, and later my fireTV, out to the sound system. No noticeable degradation of sound quality that I can detect. So far so good.

The unit works fine.. But I wish it had an optical input so I could use it 'from' the tv out connection..Right now, I have it connected between the blueray and my tv to enable using a headset too.. To go back to regular channels however, I have to reconnect the headset back to the cable box..Our Samsung tv only has a single optical out which we already use for a soundbar..

Early impressions, this works exactly as you expect it to work.My few concerns that I had was if the sound would have any sort of lag, and if the video quality would be lowered. But neither of those issues have come up. We will keep testing it and see if things hold up for the following months.

Works perfect. Bought for my new outdoor projection screen and Epson LCD projector. Simple plug in put it on pass through and plugged into my Harbinger tower speaker system and wow. Amazing. Great product for the price. Good quality build. Seller was excellent as well. Quick turn around.
