Wholesome Pride Sweet Potato Fries All-Natural Single Ingredient Dog Treats, 16 oz

I bought this as a treat for my pup since I heard sweet potatoes are good health food for dogs however it seems my dog chews on these more for teething purposes. They are very very gummy and soft, and it seems she chews on them forever like gum. She not excited about them as a treat and seems to only chew them if she bored and needs something to chew. Often times she chews one of them rather than eat them perhaps they are not for small breed dogs.

I have a Dalmatian and it’s always a struggle to find healthy treats that aren’t loaded with protein she doesn’t need and that aren’t “grain-free” with peas, chickpeas, and other foods high in purines.So when I first saw these in a store, I was thrilled. Poppy loves them and I’ve been buying them for over a year.It doesn’t seem to matter where I buy them from, the quality is hit or miss. As others have commented, they can be perfect or need to go in the trash. The manufacturer needs to get a Quality Control department (or, if the batches are checked, then they need to figure out what’s going wrong from the time it leaves their facility to the time it arrives on my kitchen counter.My dog is happy to eat them dried up, chewy, cut up and floated as part of her dinner…. So I just keep buying them and as long as they’re not moldy or foul-smelling, we’ll use it.

My dogs love it.( summer -lab mix, Renzo- chihuahua corgi mix,, and piper chihuahchihuahua. Wish it came in small bit size pcs.

our dog loves these chews but we just got a bag that was filled with black and moldy looking chews. amazon was good about refunding us when I contacted them. just wish they would be more consistent.

I have been purchasing this product for the past 6 to 9 months and have found the product to be very high-quality in that it is a single ingredient, however the consistency is quite poor. This dog treat is VERY expensive (for the amount of product given) and the company should aim to provide as much consistency as possible. Some bags have whole, thick slices of dehydrated sweet potato and others contain shriveled up, rolled, sharp, very thinly sliced pieces. Yet other bags have had cross cut pieces of what were obviously whole slices of sweet potato, cut into at least four pieces. I have a giant breed dog and the thick, whole slices are ideal. It is what is featured in the advertising of the product and yet this is not the product that is received even 50% of the time. I just got off the phone with customer service representative, Hannah, and though she was kind, I did not feel as if she was really taking my complaint all that seriously. She kept trying to tell me that they cannot guarantee consistency because the size of the sweet potato coming in from the farmers will vary in size, depending upon the season. I told her that I appreciated that and understood that they could not regulate this given that it was a natural product, however she could not answer why some pieces were sliced extremely thinly, such that they roll up into sharp little straw-like pieces. She also could not answer or offer any commentary on the thickly sliced, large pieces that have obviously been cross cut into at least four smaller pieces. She stated that that’s not something that they do and she inquired as to whether not I was buying another one of their products and I assured her that I was not buying anything other than the sweet potato dog treat chews. She kept saying that sometimes they will break into pieces but I assured her that many times I was receiving a bag of sliced, dehydrated sweet potatoes that had obviously been cross- cut with a straight edge. She didn’t indicate that they were going to investigate. She didn’t ask me to mail a bag back to them. She didn’t ask me to take a photo and send it to them she didn’t seem interested in resolving the situation any further than making notes and taking it back to the powers that be. That much is appreciated, however I was very dissatisfied with the phone call. I would love for her to have indicated that she would investigate as to why Cros cut pieces are being sent out into customers homes. I also offered the suggestion that they more thickly slice the smaller sweet potatoes that they get, so that they don’t roll into sharp objects. I will purchase a couple more bags and if the cross-cut pieces continue, I’m going to buy a dehydrator and start making my own. I would prefer to buy their product given the high-quality, but the consistency is just so variable that many times we end up throwing away the tiny pieces that are a choking hazard. My pup won’t eat them! They seem like they would be a great snack or treat for your dog, but we have tried multiple times and she just won’t eat them or chew them. So not a fault of company, just not my pups thang!😆

I have been buying theses packs of treats for my beloved dog she enjoys them a lot she has a sweet tooth best of all this is all natural Sweet potatoes are good for dogs. I love this product I had bought theses before 3 years ago through a pet store but now they do not stock this at their store. I found this shop here at amazon I hope they have theses treats for many years to come. Thank you for having these treats.

My ladies really love Wholesome Pride Sweet Potato Chews. They each get one when put to bed at night. Reaching in the cupboard clues them that not only to go to their bed but a good flavor is coming.

The packaging does not match the picture on the Amazon website - the picture has a brownish packaging and the ones I received were in a blue packet. I have used this product previously which I had purchased from a store and the slices (chews) looked nice and had a dark orange in colour. The contents of the packets received look very stale and most pieces look as though they have gone bad or just made from sweet potatoes that had gone bad - the colour is a very dark brown (almost blackish). I will not be giving this to my dog. Also, it is overpriced - in-store price is $7.99 but I bought it from Amazon as my dog loved this treat and it wasn't available in the store.

Liked the basic ingredients of just sweet potato. However I don’t know if it was an older batch or what. They were crunchy, not chewy. Dog still ate then but it wasn’t long lasting. You could snap them in two. Not as crunchy as pork rinds but you get the idea.,

My Golden Retriever gets one at every meal so I always have to make sure I’m not paying too much. She grabs it and takes it to her “special spot” to eat.

My dog loves these! Can't go a day without begging for more. The pieces are large so not recommended for a small dog. My German Shepherd breaks off pieces at a time. All natural is the only way we go.

SHOULD HAVE BELIEVED WHAT I READ FROM OTHER PEOPLE...THESE ARE NOT NICE FEELING AT ALL AND THEY ARE IN BIG PIECES THATS REALLY HARD TO CUT....WILL NOT BUY AGAIN
