innoflame Wall Mounted Electric Fireplace 50 Inch Heater 1400W with Remote Control (Black)

I bought this several months ago and waiting to post a review until I had a chance to put it through the winter using it as both a heater and for the fireplace effect. Here are comments broken down into categories:Delivery: Arrived fast and no transit issues. The bag of river rocks was a bit dusty, suggest using a thicker bag.Set Up: It was surprisingly easy to set up and hang. Was able to do it on my own in about 15-20 mins.Heating Function: I am very surprised how much heat this really put out. The thermostat functioned well to m maintain our desired room temp in a 400sf room.Flame Effect: There are many options for color flames and colors of back light to choose from. We went with the crystal option instead of the wood logset and really like how the base light glows through the crystals. There are many options for controlling the flame effect like speed as well as color. The lights are all LED and are bright.Noise: The built in fan, heater and flame effect are whisper quiet. I have had a Duraflame electric fireplace in the past and it was really loud in comparison.Remote Control: The included remote was easy enough to figure out without needing to read the instructions.Overall: I am very happy with the purchase. I recommend to a friend and feel like it is durable and will last a long time.

Bought the first fireplace and right out of the box, everything was wrong with it. I posted a review video and Amazon didn't post it up. The first fireplace, the heater didn't work at all. The logs were broken in multiple pieces. The remote stopped working after 5 min of use. The tough buttons on the fireplace started flashing weird and then stopped working after 5 min of use. The flames have an awful loud clicking sound. Amazon sent me a replacement two days later. The second fireplace came with the logs split broken in the middle and its very obvious when the fireplace is turned on. The flames have a loud awful clicking noise. Even if I just wanted to sit in piece and quiet with the flames on, this noise would drive me crazy. It's very pleasing to the eye but functions horribly. Not close to worth the price of this costed $219. I'm going to have to send this one back too and its not easy trying to pack it back up, lift it and carry downstairs to outside to place into my car. It's a complete hassle. I guess I'm going to have to couch up the extra money to purchase a better quality fireplace from a different company because this is just horrible, right out of the box both times.

Remote control stopped working rendering the unit worthless. Can only be turned on and off (and other controls) with remote and now cannot find replacement remote.Update: changing from 2 stars to 4 stars as I have learned that the unit can be controlled via panel on the front of the unit. This is a very nice product and especially important to note is that the heat exhausts down and not upward (as most units seem to do). This is great if you want to install under a wall mounted TV.Would give 5 stars but disappointed that the remote stopped working as I only purchased last December and hardly used until now. (Yes, I checked the batteries).

I have been in search of a new electric fireplace for months now and have looked for wall hanging fireplaces at all of the big box stores as well as all of the mass market stores like Home Depot and Lowe's. I came across this unit while browsing amazon and liked all of the features that it included as well as the customization that it provides. This one is a great price for the size! The ones at Home depot were around the same price, but half the size and not nearly as sophisticated and lacked may of the features this one included. It has a really nice remote control that allows you to control all of the functions and effects. It's much nicer than the cheap remotes that come with several of the others around this price point. You can customize the look by using 1 of 3 options... 1. Realistic Logs, 2. Clear Acrylic Crystals or 3. White Stone. I tried all 3 out, but decided to go with the Crystals which looked great! The touch screen controls work flawlessly and they dim away when not in use to give a clean look. The flame effect is better than any wall mounted fireplace that I've seen and you can customize the color of both the flames and the ember bed individually. There is also a really nice back light feature that adds a nice ambiance to the room. The heater output really warms the room also! It says it can heat a room up to 400sqft, but he heated my living room up rather nicely and it's well over 400sqft!Overall, I highly recommend this product for anyone who is considering purchasing it. For the price and features it provides you really can't beat it!

I use this product as a secondary heat source in a 150sqft bedroom. It heats the room well but the amber bed leds need to be on inorder to have the heater on. Hard to sleep with a giant night light. Also the flames dont have a realistic appearance which brings me to my other problem. The flames are reflective pieces of foil on a rotating shaft that reflects on screen. Not to worried about the realness of the flames because it is a fake fireplace but 5min after the unit was mounted and running on the wall that rotisserie started making noise so i stopped using that function.(seems to be a popular problem) Aside from those problems it appears to be a sturdy built unit and complements the room well. The blower is quiet enough to sleep with but is not absolutely silent. I will keep the unit because of its digital thermostat and bottom heat flow which is desired for its location and those features are slim picking for the price.
