Not as strong as it says it is
Definitely not 600lb magnet. I can shoulder check it and the door will pop open.

Good product for the price.
Product works as advertised. It seems to be missing two pins that are placed in the actuator plate. I would give 5 stars if these pins weren't missing. it does not seem to effect the performance of the product at this time, but may effect the alignment of the plate with the magnet in the future during use.

A little rough aesetically, but functions great
I bought this to use with a Ubiquiti Unifi Access Ultra on an office door and it works very well. I had to modify and space out the mount for my unusual applcation, but it is fine. I will buy this one again when I am ready to do the next door.

Works fine
I originally started out with the smaller electro magnet with the rated 100 pound pull. Since this was on a gate to back yard the gate was stronger than the magnet. The second try with the 600 pound pull rating worked great. I have it set up with a remote timer so can lock the gate at will and especially at night when retiring. Access through the gate exposed the back of the house to possible unwanted entry. I got the idea of The magnetic lock from "Fast Food" restaurants in our area that lock rest rooms to keep out Riff Raf!

Things you should know
This isn't strong electromagnet I will give it that. Although keep in mind this thing needs to be almost perfectly lined up and really can be a pain in the ass. If you're set up is somewhat custom, I'm sure it works great for doors that fit perfectly and everything is ready to go. But if you're or not completely flush using factory milled materials which come together flawlessly, you may not be happy with this magnet as it's caused me more grief than benefit. It finally gave up the ghost after a long time of use and abuse and as I said it was a strong magnet and while it worked was good. However, I can't recommend it based on the fact you're probably better off with a solenoid latch or something else as magnet locks can really be difficult. I understand their views quite heavily in security doors and that the concept is highly understandable and preferred. However, these things can cause many issues. I mean what if your primary power goes and your battery is not holding adequate charge. Your door is open. That doesn't sound very secure to me now. Of course battery backup should be employed and in many times it is. But what if it fails? What if your backup battery is not holding a charge or simply has a loose connection? That's why for high security I would say a latching solenoid deadbolt lock would be highly Superior to this. MarkMannM2
