Are we turning Japanese? We really think so! Smash up is back after a vacation in the far East, and it brought all new factions like you've never seen before! Unless you, like, watch TV or movies, or read Comics or something. But who does that?.

SUPPER FUN
its supper fun but it can be a bit more confusing to play because of the titans but other than that the power rangers are supper good and pokemon they are good but i've never played them together but its a supper fun expansion and a good add on but not the best place to start over all though i loved it

Titan temptation
This box is really fun as an expansion to smash up. The reason I knock it down to 4 stars is because having the titans for these 4factions really pushes me to get a titans pack for the rest of them. It feels bad not having titans for the older sets. While this is a great set for the amount of content at $20, Titan sets are 50+ for a handful of titan cards which I cannot justify getting.Other sets have somewhat inclusive mechanics but they have never rubbed me the wrong way like the titan mechanic. It is probably just me.If you are deciding between this one and another, and you think you will be annoyed with titans like I am, then go with another set. If you think I am crazy (which is fair) then go for it!Careful, the pokemon inspired deck takes a lot of mastery and time with all the searching.

I've enjoyed Smash Up since I first purchased it
I've enjoyed Smash Up since I first purchased it. It's a game of mayhem with some strategic elements that make it fun. This is another expansion for the game which is themed around concepts that are big in Japan. You have the Mega Troopers which are a parody of the Power Rangers or Super Sentai as they're known in Japan, the Magical Girls which parodies Sailor Moon and other magical girl heroines from anime, Kaiju which is basically referencing Godzilla, and finally Itty Critters which is a parody of Pokemon. As usual each faction plays a little different and fits the theme of the deck it represents. The Kaiju deck smashes things, Magical Girls work together with friendship, and so on. The major difference with this expansion is that they include Titan cards which hold unique abilities and can be played when certain conditions are met. These are not cards that you need to draw from your deck, but are rather always by your side during the game. While they aren't necessarily super strong, it does kind of make you wish that the plethora of other decks that have been released had these titan cards available. I thought it was a clever idea, but it makes these decks feel like they have something up on the older decks with an added layer of strategy available.I still enjoyed the expansion and the theme this time around was a fun one. I also liked the addition of the Titan cards, but I overall felt that without having ones available for the older decks that it made these decks have a bit of a slight advantage. I'd still recommend it though. More Smash Up is always a good thing in my eyes.

Decks play a little different then other packs because of Titan cards.
I’m not rating the quality because they are good. I’m rating the content in terms of decks. There is this new mechanic that really unbalances the OG starters. This is called the titan mechanic. Now everyone want to use at least one of these decks to make it fair. I had to take of the decks out of my normal rotation.

Titans
One of the better expansions, I really enjoyed the concept of titans but breaks the game if only one player has one. When playing make sure everyone has atleast one titan. Honestly, the Kaiju faction is so good it nearly breaks the game.

one of the best, if not broken
one of my favorite expansions. itty critters and mega troopers are some of my favorite ones with a lot of versatility and they are good on their own. Kaiju is good if you get momentum, magical girls are decent. they also introduce the titans mechanic and its anywhere from conditionally OK to broken. good to play against each other but can overpower other factions because of the titans.

Great addition to a great game
Really cool addition. Brings some interesting new rules. Just as a heads up the titan cards are the plastic dividers ;)

Good but not great.
Smash Up is an amazing game. This set is fun addition which introduces a new type of card called Titans. Titans would be great fun for players who want a new game mechanic. It is not ideal for new players and this deck does not work as a stand alone game.
