These pins work well where a screw or bolt won't work. I used these to repair the arm rests on my power chair. They allow the arms to swivel up and out of the way while keeping the arm rests attached to the mobility chair.

got these for my saltwater pool brush to replace the plastic one that broke, this was perfect and works very well.

I use these for Assembling / Disassembling AR15 uppers when revoving the forward most upper swing pin. Perfect for installing or removing the tension spring and detent without launching it across the room. See You Tube videos on how this works.

I imagine a lot of people are buying this as a tool to help install their pivot pin, spring, and detent. If so, you will not be able to use it without a small modification. The diameter of the pin itself is perfect for the job and fits fine in the lower, however the small holes drilled in the pin are too small for the detent to fit through. You will need to open up the hole with a 3/32" drill bit. The pilot holes are already there, so it's easy to drill through with little pressure.

They are well made and function well as takedown pins when cut to size

This product is generally ok but the locking pin that comes with the set is very very tiny that if considerable pressure is applied, the pin can bend that would surely compromise the safety of its use.
