Great price for reduced guilt.
I've been trying to find as many ways as possible to reduce the amount of plastic I use in my life, and since toothbrushes are made to be used for a very short time and then tossed, I looked for a biodegradable option. These fit the bill! They are made of bamboo and (what the package claims to be) biodegradable bristles. Even if the bristles don't break down or don't break down as easily, it is a small amount of plastic material compared to a traditional toothbrush. This is the second time I've ordered these and they have been great. There are no bells and whistles. It's just a wooden toothbrush. But the bristles are soft (which dentists recommend) and the handle is sturdy. They also look good and sophisticated, with no garish colors or designs. I personally didn't have the mold issues that one user had. I keep one at a time in a holder on my counter by the sink and that's been fine. I've stored the rest in a counter drawer in their individual cardboard boxes and they haven't molded or anything like that. That being said, they are made of WOOD so you have to be aware of that and treat them accordingly.

Great bamboo product!
Ok so let’s begin to say I was extremely skeptical of these, but my good friend said bamboo is the “thing.” So because I am trying to remove my carbon footprint as much as possible, I bought these.I was very surprised. These bamboo toothbrushes are a great alternative to your standard plastic. The wood is very firm, even after several uses. I actually prefer that it doesn’t flex during brushing than a plastic one might. The bristles arena nice softness but also not so soft that you have to scrub, and I appreciate the textured bristles because it helps get between my teeth better than my regular plastic one did.*tip: It is very important to make sure these dry because they ARE made of WOOD, and will deteriorate, which is the purpose of them, however you don’t want them to mold. So watch how much water you get in it AND make sure it’s placed away from the sink where it can sit in water which my toddlers are notorious for getting all over the place when brushing. We learned this with one toothbrush after 4 days of use. Other wise I genuinely like this product and will purchase again. My teeth feel cleaner with these brushes than my other plastic, and I feel good I’m doing something for the planet.

Bamboo Alternative to the Plastic Toothbrush
Great alternative for those looking to be plastic-free. I'm excited to see a product like that that uses bamboo, benefits the environment, is a minimal waste product, and has a give back where a portion of the sales benefit environmental orgs. These are pretty minimalist brushes, so no rubber grip on the handle but soft bristles. The head seems a little wider than my previous plastic brush. Also comes in a pack of 4 so they can make gifts for your environmentally conscious friends, or you can keep them for yourself, ha!

Faithful Buyer
I'm a big fan of this brand and the way they number/package the toothbrushes. I buy a box each for me and my husband for the year and they're a much better price while hitting the other marks of good quality, effective, I like the feel of them and I love that they're not only sustainable, but they're not full of toxic junk.I also like that they thought to number the toothbrushes so if you are buying for a larger household, just give each person a toothbrush with a different number on it so they don't get mixed up.

My first non-plastic toothbrush!
As the title indicates, this toothbrush is my first non-plastic bamboo toothbrush and I am loving it! I ordered this product two months ago and I was very skeptical since it this was going to be my first time trying an eco-friendly toothbrush. I feared that I was going to have problems with the bristles and wrongfully thought that they were going to fall off. I also thought that the bamboo wood was not going to last because of water and moisture, but I decided to give it a try. I am glad I did give this toothbrush an opportunity! This Somo Natural Bamboo Toothbrush is strong. The bristles are firm yet they do not make my gums bleed like the plastic ones did. The wood is still strong after a little over two months and I see no signs of water damage. In addition, this toothbrush is much easier to clean in regards to the excess toothpaste that remains in the bristles after brushing ,than the plastic ones, making it last longer.

WoW! That's a small HOT brush!
I was excited to find non-plastic toothbrushes (bamboo) and was anxious to use them. I received a box of four brushes and gave one to a friend. I never got a report from them, but I do know that they soon bought a different toothbrush.I was surprised to find the brushes to have such a small set of bristles, on a rather slim handle, as if they were intended to be a child's toothbrush. That was disappointing. Maybe there was a reason for it.As I used the new brush, the 1st thing that crossed my mind was, "what if this thing splinters in my mouth?". I once owned a bamboo comb which arrived splintered, so I knew it was possible. The 2nd thing I noticed was how HOT the bristles became with the friction of brushing. Over 50 years of brushing my teeth and I have NEVER ever experience hot bristles. That is very uncomfortable in the mouth. The box did not state what the bristles were made of. They are extremely soft and closely set together, not allowing much 'breathing' space for 'drying'.... which leads me to my last observation. My 3rd concern was the fact that this brush was made of wood, meaning, it w/could hold bacteria in its porous material. I had not thought of that upon purchasing. Yuck! The issues stated above are why I gave this review a 3 star rating. For me personally, I will not buy this product again nor recommend it to my friends or to the reader of this review. I still have two brushes left of the four. They won't even make good scrub brushes, for they are so soft. I will probably 'gift' them to a couple kids I know.Thank you for reading and please let me know if this review was helpful.
