Excellent grinder, and visually pleasing. Looks great on the table, and grinds perfectly. The trick is to hold your hand on the top part and rotate the bottom part. Especially if you have it set to very course grinding. Otherwise the nut at the top will unscrew itself.

This grinder is super cute and stylish. Dare I say handsome? Makes an excellent gift as it’s maybe a bit pricey for a personal purchase depending on your budget. There is a noticeable difference between the course and fine grinds. Easy to use and refill. Clearly well made. Hoping this one will last a lifetime. I own several very old pieces made of olive and they have aged beautifully.

Beautiful design and the olive wood body can have beautiful woodgrain patterns. (I got lucky...)It has a nice, high quality Peugeot grinder mechanism, but it does tend to leave a bit of pepper under it whenever you set it down. I bought this here after ordering some from Williams-Sonoma and getting the salt mill version instead (the grinders are different). Fortunately, Amazon's price was significantly better, anyway.This is not an inexpensive item, but it is a joy to have and use, and should last for a lifetime. My only complaint is that it's a bit too easy to tighten or loosen the knob on the top that controls grind size. Other than that (and the fact that I had to use some fine sandpaper to fair in a very slightly raised seam in the wooden body), it's perfect. Recommended.

It only grinds fine not course. Loosening the nut doesn't help. It's beautiful. But I am not satisfied and too lazy to return.

Excellent grind, from coarse to very fine. Unlike all the other grinders I have discarded, this mill produces consistent, uniform grind without larger chunks of pepper mixed with finer grind. Build quality is excellent as expected. Peugeot has it's reputation as the best for a reason, simply none better.

Love love love this shaker!!!! It matches so well with its sister salt shaker. It makes an elegant and useful addition to my culinary needs. Would definitely recommend.

I bought, and returned, 2 of these Olive Wood mills. I especially liked the wood and it's grain. I was very disappointed to receive the first mill and it had what appeared to be red magic marker streaks on the wooden body of the mill that would not wipe off. I ordered a second one.....same result. The packaging of both mills was pretty shabby....beat up and appeared to have been opened and repackaged. Both were bought as new, not second hand. Wish I had taken pictures of both mills.

I've purchased these Peugeot salt & pepper mills in the past for both myself and as gifts. The mills work great and are pretty easy to fill. I used this one as a wedding gift with an olive wood salad bowl that my husband made on his lathe. I completed the gift with a set of olive wood salad utensils that I also purchased.

This pepper mill looks really nice. It is very small though and feels awkward in my hand. Worst of all, it is impossible to get anything but a very fine grind and even that is very difficult and slow. Adjusting the top knob does not do what is claimed - it's either fine or no grind at all for me.

Nach dem meine Alte kaputt war, wollte ich dieses Mal eine Pfeffermühle mit einem so oft gelobten Mahlwerk von Peugeot probieren. Was soll ich sagen, ich finde sie toll. Der Holzkorpus ist sehr edel und faßt sich gut an. Der Mahlgrad des Pfeffers läßt sich gut einstellen und auch die Ausbeute pro Drehung ist gleichbleibend gut. Für mich hat sich diese Mühle gelohnt und hat definiert einen Mehrwert. Danke!

I expected better quality for the price I paid. The lid is loose and slightly offset. But it seems to grind the pepper well.

Wunderschön und "Fabriqué en France". Hervorragend verarbeitet. Das perfekte Besuchergeschenk, als bessere Alternative zu der üblichen Pulle Wein. Der Preis ist mehr als gerechtfertigt. Frankreich, nix China!
