A shower head has changed my life
And I’m not being very dramatic. When we moved into our home 5 years ago, we replaced the stationary shower head with one of those removable head thingys. Low water pressure to begin with, that head felt about as strong as 4 gnomes spitting on me from above. It took FOREVER to rinse out shampoo, conditioner felt like a lifetime. I seriously dreaded taking a shower, so much wasted time trying to rinse off. Enter this magnificent beast I finally took the plunge on. It was very easy to remove the water restriction piece; I used a screwdriver with its handle upright on the counter with the shower head slid down over the shaft. I gently but forcefully pushed the shower head down towards the counter, the restriction popped right out. Then heaven. Bliss. My hair actually looks better because everything actually got successfully rinsed out. I figured it’s probably a wash (see what I did) with water usage. I spent at least 15 minutes showering before because it took so long for those gnomes to rinse me off. Now with such increased shower pressure, more water is being used, but I’ve definitely cut down my shower time. I actually want to shower. I mean, I showered before, begrudgingly, because well, life. But now I’m looking forward to feeling that perfectly perfect water pressure and throwing out those useless gnomes!

A+++++++!!!!! Wow!
Ok, so I just bought a new house with a full bath in my master bedroom. I was settling in my first day there, all excited about my new abode, and gleefully proceeded to take a shower. Much to my dismay, the water just slowly trickled out and it took me about 20 min just to complete my shower and I still didn't feel totally clean!Disappointed and fretting, I went to my favorite watering hole and explained my dilemma to some drunk buddies and one of them told me about some magic shower head that could help. He was too drunk to tell me much more than that so I hit Google and finally found there was a such animal and I found myself right here, reading every review instead of following my first instinct to call a plumber.So, I bought this shower head, thinking I'd at least give it a shot. AMAZED... is a gross understatement! I'm not going to say I witnessed a thundering rain but I did enjoy standing under an immediate light steady rain - I would say I was skeptical to the max this could even be possible!!!I hope your experience with this shower head will exceed your expectations as it did mine. 5 stars.. Easily! 👍🏻

Very good for inexpensive hardware
As inexpensive shower heads go, this one is good.INSTALLATIONThe threaded sleeve that attaches to the J-pipe is metal, but the wrench grooves are on the INSIDE toward the ball joint. That means you need a wrench that fits exactly into that space in order to tighten it. Other units (including the one I replaced with this one) have the wrench grooves on to TOP toward the J-pipe, so it's much easier.It does come with teflon tape which was a nice touch and made installation easier since I didn't have to look for mine or make a separate purchase or trip to the hardware store. The fit on the J-pipe was loose, so I had to use more teflon tape than I anticipated.Be careful not to over-tighten or the J-pipe will cut the gasket. Luckily for me, it came with two gaskets.OPERATIONThis unit produces a massive volume of output when the restrictor is removed. It is powerful and comfortable, Shower quickly, though, or you'll find yourself running out of hot water sooner than you might expect. Also, make sure your drains are operating at full capacity, or you'll be standing in ankle-deep water within a minute or so.I ended up re-installing the restrictor. The volume was just too much and wasted a lot of water and energy for heating. The unit still works well, but I wish there was a restrictor setting that was somewhere in between.

Best shower head EVER!
The BEST shower head I have ever purchased, hands down. I made this purchase after doing some research and reading the reviews on Amazon. We have never had a shower experience like this before. If you want a full, fast stream of water, this is the one for you. There’s no jet settings or adjustments and that makes it an even better and more sturdy component. As soon as you turn the water on a full great spray of water comes out and stays like that until you turn it off. We love this shower head and recommend it to anyone. We removed the water restrictor because we have a low pressure system and you’d never know that after seeing the way the water sprays out of this shower head. If you are hesitant, don’t be, make that purchase and I promise you won’t regret it. I’m not one to write lengthy reviews, but I was so happy and impressed with this shower head I decided to take the time to write a more detailed review for this product

Small leak that I can’t get to stop
I recently purchased the X001HH3BVL shower head. I removed the flow restrictor, replaced the filter/washer and used Teflon pipe tape on the J-pipe coming from the wall as per the enclosed instructions. The shower head has a slow leak at the J-pipe connection even after 3 attempts to seal. I am an above average home repair person with over 30 years of experience and cannot get this connection to stop leaking. I have had 3 or 4 other shower heads on this pipe and none of them leaked even without using Teflon tape. Other than this issue, the flow is much better and more powerful than previous heads.
