nice - attractive - and works
nice - attractive - and works. attach the "hoop" to keychain or neck strap. Simply pull the body portion to activate a loud alarm. You can even point it at an attacker - it's loud enough to disorient - perhaps.It could use an optional or removable loop on the body part. That way one part could be attached to a backpack or bag and the other to something fixed. A thief would be taking off with the alarm .

VERY loud--excellent in parking lots or the park for drawing attention!
I feel safer having this with us when I walk my dog at the park. There are a few areas that aren't very busy, so I feel a little isolated there, and this alarm is loud enough to scare off anyone who wants to make trouble. It's a lot louder than a car alarm--more on par with the house alarm which blasts right to the center of your brain.

When you pull the tab/cover, sometimes it will work, sometimes it doesnt. Hit & miss.

Handy, but not as load as advertised.
I would say these are about as loud as a person making a squealing sound. may get attention, but would not scare anyone away immediately. maybe better to use mace or pepper spray. For the value Give it 3 stars.

my kids toy gun is louder
After walking my dogs , wearing the alarm incase another dog attacks us...... for 3 months- I decide to test the thing. I put in ear plugs in , go all the way back to the end of my yard and pulled the alarm ……..VERY DISAPPOINTED & Id like my $12 back please -my kids toys are louder and no one is going to be help save me when I pull this "alarm" the will too busy laughing at me . Glad I check it before I bit the dust !!!

Loud enough and unlike magnet ones, you have to pull hard, which prevent set alarm accidentally. I wished it was a bit louder.

Very loud
Purchased two of these for my daughters to keep in their backpacks, just in case. They are very loud and I’m pretty sure it would freak someone out if they weren’t expecting it.
