Made in China to Irwin's specifications. These seem every bit as good as my old set of Irwin Speedbor bits and at a really great price. I prefer these "classic" style of spade bits for use at my drill press. They (more or less) fill in where my forstner bit sizes are incomplete as these come in 16ths up to an inch and then for some inexplicable reason jump to a 1-1/4 bit. No, they are not as good as a forstner bit in many situations and they are certainly better for very deep drilled holes, but a nice inexpensive solution to a forstner bit set that jumps by eighths. A great homeowner must-have along with a portable electric drill for many woodworking and remodeling projects around the house.
