Last month, my gums were red, swollen, and painful. I bought this product, and the pain lessened after using it twice. I've been using it daily, and now I hardly experience any pain. I will continue to use it to eliminate those awful bacteria in my mouth. And the price is reasonable.

PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS. I used it for 3 weeks & the wire that attached to the mouth piece broke off. It was a waste of money. The wire comes loose. I bought a container for it and took care of it, but it broke anyway. It does nothing for you. It is just a red & blue light. The seller should be ashamed of themselves for making a mouth piece like this. It was cheaply made. Do not buy.

Update. It helps. Lichen planus cannot be cured w this. But 25 minutes or so will reduce the burning inflammation and make brushing more comfortable. I think my breath smells better. I can also use it before bed if my gums are bleeding too much to brush that night. Wish it was not so small! Does not even get to my back molars so that was disappointing. Adults are buying this and need the treatment on the gums. The light hits the teeth and you just hope it reflects to the gums. It is better than nothing, if you have gum problems! And bonus, there are no battery issues, just plug it in to your phone. I have never 'sunburned' my mouth at 25-30 minutes.

I use this everyday, in the car…when I forget, I plug into my MacBook at night while I work.

I love this product! The mouth piece fits comfortably and I noticed the results! I would recommend!!! Plugs into the phone so no waiting for it to charge! Love that convenience!!!

Wanted to love this and I actually did ... until it broke. Given the cost of the product, I'll tell you about the negative aspects first. Cons: Short-lived product. I would say that I used this device less than 30 days total, over a period of a few months (using it 1-2 hours at a time). Would love to keep using it, but it literally broke. The lights turned off within 2 minutes of my last use. I checked the USB-C connector for dust or other problems and my phone for any port and settings issues (I used my cell phone to power the device) and found no problems until I noticed the cord, which attaches the various charging connectors to the device, was broken. Although there's a clear plastic tube to protect the thin, incoming cord from bending and breaking at the base of the device, the wire broke right at that connection point (i.e., that tube didn't work). Maybe mine had a defect? Not sure, but doesn't matter bc the return window had expired. The cord is Very Short, which is why I used my phone as the power source. Two hours of use was all that my fully charged cell phone battery could handle while I was also using the phone; this device drained my phone's battery fairly quickly. I didn't notice any of the very fine cracks in my teeth improve (I chronically bite my nails and use to grind my teeth at night). Also, I used this device a few times without any other teeth whitening products, but saw no improvements in the color. Overall, I could put up with the short charging cord and the cost of additional teeth whitening products, but even with the positive outcomes noted below, $70 for a device that I only get bout a month's worth of use is much too expensive. It would cost me over $840 per year if I had to buy a new device every month, which is much more than a trip to the dentist. Pros: This product proves that dentists are wrong when they say you can't grow back your gums! But, you have to use the device regularly to notice improvements. The best way to regrow gums is to clean the tartar build up around the gum line with a professional dental cleaning. However, I prefer at-home treatments and remedies for everything possible. This device regrew my gums, decreasing the appearance of those little black triangles/pockets at the gum line between my teeth; I used it in conjunction with regular brushing, flossing (I use a waterpik), and an over-the-counter metal dental pik that can be found at any drug store. If you brush on a teeth whitening gel before using this device, you can whiten your teeth while improving your gums. It also resolved sensitivity I had on a tooth. The gum regrowing and whitening processes were slow for me (probably would have seen quicker results if I would have use it regularly/daily). I must say, though, I noticed visible regrowth of gums after using the device once a day for a couple hours during the first week. Noticed whiter teeth after only a few days, with the use of a teeth whitening gel with the device (I'm tea and dark coffee drinker). Unfortunately, afterwards, I only used the device every now and then until it broke.

It only lasted 8 months. Then the wiring to the device started letting loose and it stopped working. I didn't see any noticeable improvement to my gums even though I used it about 4 times a week. By creating a poor quality product, Starlight Smile Red LIght Therapy is contributing to pollution of the environment .

I have lyme disease, which weakens my gums. This device has definitively and measurably reversed gum disease but the unit only lasts about 45 days before the wires split at the joint on the device. I have reached out to the manufacturer twice, and have not had any response. Even though I am spending $60 every 45 days, to have this device and to continue to repair my gums. I have the plug in model. This expense and frustration is a true measure of how well this actually works.....I am very careful with it, of course, but the joint gives out just from the simple movements involved in using it and cleaning it. I have tried to tape it but have not succeeded. Does anyone know a method for not wearing out this fragile joint so quickly? or how to reinforce it? IMO the manufacturer needs to increase the small amount and strength of the reinforcement they have from extra silicone wrapping the wires at the joint where they connect to the device and continue the silicone up the cord for 2 to 5 inches. This would also make it far easier to clean. An increase in price would be worth the longevity gained - plus the ease of cleaning.

The item arrived. NO instructions or information available, absolutely nothing enclosed. I am in the UK and checked with a friend in the USA and she sent me this image of her instructions that came with the identical (???) item. Firstly, put on charge for 3 hours, but there was no flashing light, just the very bright blue lights. They did not switch off and the item did not work when I tried to use it. There is NO switch for red/blue at all, just 3x USB connectors (for which I had to buy an adaptor, as they are all USB c). Two days later, I tried charging again, for 8 hours this time, same result - no flashing, just blue lights on. VERY DISAPPOINTING ...

Unfortunately it is blue light not red as described , haven’t noticed any benefit of use so far

Absolutely not what it is advertised to be, no option to switch to red light (the whole reason for purchse) not even an on/off switch! Try to return as soon as opened to find it's a non returnable item, contact seller. What an absolute waste of time and money.

Firstly this only had blue light, no red light therapy at all. The mouth piece was very small and not as advertised. Made no changes to my teeth or gums. Buy cheap, buy twice.
