Our home does not have a smell at baseline or when the heat is on, but the AC has had a slightly musty odor since we purchased our home. I read about it, cleaned the inside and outside coils, and had our HVAC system professionally steam cleaned. The cleaning helped, but about a month later the musty smell was back. I read some more and determined that the coils needed UV treatment. I bought a very expensive unit that did not fit, returned it, and bought this unit for a much better price. It fit perfectly, I let it treat the coils for 24 hours, turned on the unit, and it completely neutralized the musty odor. Over a month later and still in the clear, the bulb indicator will show if one goes out, and my thermostat will notify me of my scheduled service dates (I perform these tasks). Very easy install, great price, worked immediately.

It was easy for someone qualified to install he luckily returned to check things a couple days later to find that two bulbs burnt out the company set replacements and were friendly he installed the two and a week later so far they are still going good. It's a good price and hasn't been a smell since install. He used the foam as installation between since the gap was larger than the thin weatherstripping that was supplied which is cut almost to size. It was the cleanest installation from what I see but I think he did great. The product seems to be functioning properly so that's awesome.

An easy install. Just use the template and plug it in! Kills germs and mold in the air stream.

I needed a larger UV light assembly for my upper plenum and this worked perfectly.The dual bulbs were easy to instal and are easily replaced when needed.

Came as advertised and somewhat easy to install depending on your installation location.

I am super happy with this unit! Thank you to this manufacturer for adding the two light indicators to let me know if either bulb burns out so I can properly replace before mold starts to grow. I had a previous unit from another manufacturer that had a light on the unit that stayed lite whether the bulbs were working or not (which I didn’t know!!!). I realized it wasn’t working when my AC guy told me I had mold in my unit so I just decided to go with this unit instead! So far, Happy Customer!!! I also didn’t screw in my new unit because my last unit I had was screwed in and it made it super hard to replace the bulbs. It also left open holes that you can’t really put the screws back into because where mine was placed is just the insulation, nothing to really screw into. I guess it depends on your unit but the duck tape is working just fine for now, until the next light bulb replacement time…..Also, this unit is very appealing to the eye compared to my last! Lol

When it got installed, was very easy, plugged it in. It worked and then after a couple minutes the lights went out. We tested the power supply, and it was fine. We replaced the lights, no luck. So, we will be sending this back. Weare so disappointed!
