Excellent for boat interior
Used to replace the interior cabin lights on my boat. Much brighter than the halogen original and the LED bulbs I had previously upgraded with. Only possible issue is they get a little warm. Planning to replace all the interior lights on the boat with these!Picture is the original light fixture with an LED bulb vs these new lights. Yes the new ones are that bright!

Solid lights overall, but heads up on the flush mount install
I bought 4 of the black 2700k puck lights and opted for a flush install. The way the flush mount works is there are 3 rigid metal clips that screw on the top of the unit to hold the light in place from the top of the cabinet. I cut the holes in my cabinet with a 2 1/8" inch hole saw and found that the metal flush mount clips were just too rigid to bend enough to allow the puck light to slide into the hole and to be installed from the inside of the cabinet. I thought maybe I could get it to go if I really pushed hard, punched it, or if I smacked it firmly with a rubber hammer, but I didn't because I figured the light would break or bend. But luckily I had access to the top of the cabinet so I slid the unit in with no clips at first and then screwed the clips from the top outside of the cabinet. That worked perfectly, nice and snug. If you can't get access to the top side of your cabinet to screw the clips in then I HIGHLY RECCOMEND YOU TEST FIT THE FLUSH MOUNT ON A SCRAP SURFACE BEFORE YOU DRILL YOUR CABINET just incase you can't get it to fit either. It would be a disaster to cut the 2 1/8" hole and then switch to the puck mount install method which would only need a very small hole to be drilled for the wire to slide through. As far as quality, not too bad! The flush mount looks really good in my glass door cabinets. At the lowest dimmer settings one of my units is very noticeably dimmer than the other 3 but then matches brightness once I get up to 20% or higher. Also, I'm powering these on the same power supply with an LED strip under the same cabinets. At the highest power settings the LED strip appears to over power the brightness of these puck lights but does balance better at mid power levels. Perhaps if you were pairing these with LED strips you should go with high intensity LED strips only if you need task lighting but then maybe stick with less intensity LED strips if you just need accent lighting, which is my setup. Looking forward to enjoying these!

Great quality metal fixtures
Solid high quality metal fixtures. A bit more expensive than the plastic ones, but I want something that will add value to the house for years without any failures and annoyance. They look nice when flush mounted..

Works with previous 12 V light system
I have a custom built desk unit with overhead cabinets in my office that I installed a 5 light LED puck set. One of the lights started to flicker and I couldn't stop it. I bought this so I wouldn't have to spend for a whole new set. It is 12 V, like the old set, and I checked that it worked before I did anything, which it did. I was able to splice the wires into the connector from the bad light, plug it into the terminal. The light is a little bit brighter than the old one, but it is in the corner of the unit behind my monitor, so it doesn't matter that much. The warm color is a good match to the old lights and not noticeably different. Much cheaper than a new light set.

50% failure rate
These lights came refurbished (which is what I ordered - $11 and change versus a ridiculous $25 new per light) but despite the "inspected by Amazon" sticker and "like new" or "open box" description they didn't work and the wires were cut very short. Exactly half of my 14-piece order did not light up at all, most likely burned by whoever bought them first. I am returning them, and wonder if Amazon will try to resell them once again. I might buy the remaining lights I need new, if the price goes down because they work very well with a dimmer, which you may need because they are very bright. Otherwise they seem that they would be excellent if new.

Armacost "Pureview" puck runs fine on 12V or 24V
The ad may say 12V operation but the user manual says 12 or 24V without much change in brightness so there's a regulator inside. That's a beautiful thing for general versatility (and vehicle use) AND these pucks respond to 0-100% PWM dimming at 12V or 24V or anything in-between. And they produce a prodigious amount of nice light. They don't get hot. The beam angle is around 120 degrees so they throw a flood. They might be a little much for the 18 inch under-cabinet duty but for those who like the cone-shaped image on the back splash and plenty of light these are worth a try. Hint: If you see a brand name of three letters, pass on by. As the reviewers say, those get uncomfortably hot.
