This is a good light for close up light but not the right color red and not effective at a longer range over 20yards at night. The dewalt red light at tractor supply is better. Would not buy again.

This is a quality light for the money. The red led is very bright and casts a very dark red light. I also like the single fuction instead of having to cycle thru other settings. Its the perfect size for slipping into the woods and seems to be made of quality materials.

This light is very bright. It is made well and heavy duty. A must for astronomy.

I use this to spot my pets or other visiting critters to the backyard. I can locate them without blinding them when it, inevitably, shines in their eyes.

Dim, tried it for night hunting, not bright at all. Barely made target visible at 30 yards, way too dim even at that short distance. Plus at full position shows a checkered pattern with lots of lines, not clear, lots of tiny blocks. Useless for night hunting, pass it up.
