Can't contain my excitement. I've had this nib holder for all of 5 minutes and it already has completely changed my calligraphy game. The grip is incredibly comfortable (I barely have to actually grip it at all), and allows me to glide across the page better than anything I have ever used. So far I have only used it with a Hunt 101, Brause 361, Hunt 513, and Hunt 512, and it has worked beautifully with all of them. Very minimal pressure needed to get nice downstrokes, And combined with how gently I'm able to securely grip it, I anticipate being able to work long past my previous limits without discomfort. I really can't say enough good things about this. Plus it's beautiful. So...11/10 would recommend.

i am very happy with my purchase. The penholder is beautiful, has a nice weight to it and it is comfortable to use. Fits all the nibs I tried. The only thing that could be improved, in my opinion, are the golden metal rings around the horn part that stick a bit over the surface of the wood.

So far I love this oblique pen. I'm a beginner hobby calligrapher and found that I needed a "fatter" pen because my arthritis would act up when I was practicing with a thinner/lighter style pen. This pen is solid...I like the weight of it and the control I get with my strokes. It arrived as promised with a nice, handwritten note. Priced right and nice quality. I recommend it if you want a thick, heavier weighted oblique pen. I use it for my Nikko G nib.

This pen is nice to look at and comfortable to use. I was interested in how these dip style pens worked, so I bought a cheap one at a local store. I liked how the whole thing worked, but it was cheap and barely worth using very practically. So I went ahead and bought this one, and it's just so satisfying to use, and feels very solid structurally. I'm very new to this, but I definitely recommend this product!

I was pleasantly surprised- I am a professional calligrapher, and because I have small hands, holders that work for me are scarce. This one is a tiny bit chunky for me, but appears to be well made for such a good price! The “homemade” insert in the pkg. asking for a review might be a gimmick- but if genuine, here’s your thumbs up! :-)

I bought this pen holder on a whim. Basically to beef up a small order. Already had a few other pen holders so I didn't technically need another but this one looked so beautiful that I splurged and bought it. It is even more beautiful in person and has completely changed my calligraphy game! Others have commented, unprompted, how much better my lettering is since I've been using this holder now exclusively. I was even thinking of ordering a second one. Highly recommend!!

It fits me. You can select a much more expensive oblique pen. Unless you are an "advanced oblique pen" user, this is what will work. When (if) you get into small sized nibs, you will need an adjustable nib holder. Lots of advice in some calligraphy books. I recommend this for your 1st oblique "adventure."

I was very impressed with the feel of this in my hand from the moment I picked it up. I've tried a few different nib holding pens in recent months and none has felt as comfortable as this one did right from the start. Now I need to find a straight pen that feels as good as this slanted one does.

This is very well built. It is very balanced and comfortable to hold while writing.
