I setup an outdoor projector screen with 8 ohm speakers on the sides of the screen, and 4 ohm speakers in the rear. I have a simple 2 channel stereo and wired left and right speaker pairs in series.The problem was that the rear 4 ohm speakers were louder than the front, so I used the 3 ohm 100 watt resisters from this product to put in parallel across the 4 ohm speakers and now the front speakers are slightly louder than the rear - exactly what I wanted to accomplish!

I haven't tried putting 100W through them yet, but it's didn't even get warm at 8W which is a good sign. The metal casing is electrically insulating and looks like it could dissipate a good bit of heat, especially if it gets mounted with some thermal paste on the back side, flush to another piece of aluminum. The casing is aluminum with enamel, which can be scratched off, so be careful if you need that part to be insulating. When I scratched some of the enamel, the casing was still electrically isolated from the resistor terminals which is reassuring to see. It's definitely as I expected for a product at this price.

purchased a set of SPEC-D LED tail lights for my 2016 sierra - as expected (from reading reviews) the resisters that came with these failed after a few months. So I purchased this set and used the two 3 ohm resisters (one on each tail light) and worked perfect! now I have spares of other sizes if i need to upgrade my other vehicles OR change my fronts to LED.
