Why pay more?
This ink works perfectly in my Canon printer and stays fresh for years. I recently ran out of the large black tank without warning. When I checked my stash, I discovered that all I had in stock were cartridges from a previous Canon printer I discarded at least three years ago. The cartridges looked the same and snapped neatly in place, but the printer rejected them. I then noticed that each had a tiny chip. One had a single spot, the other two spots. Using the tip of a small knife, I pried them loose, thinking I'd glue the new one on the old cartridge. It was easier than that. Those chips snap onto micro-posts. Within seconds my new printer happily printed a beautiful page with that old cartridge. Yes, you can teach a new dog old tricks.
