Amazing results on exotic hardwoods
If you have an exotic hardwood deck this is the stain to use. I have an Ipe deck that's now 20 years old and use this to re-stain every couple of years because it's near trees and tends to get a lot of junk and some mildew on it. After a pressure washing I put this on with a lambs wool pad, let it soak in for about 5 minutes, and buff off the excess with another dry pad. I can't emphasize enough that, just like the name says, this is a WIPING stain, it should not be painted on thick and left to dry. If you put it on heavy or try to apply in sunlight the stain will gum up and look blotchy. Applying this stain is much more like staining furniture than it is painting. On exotic hardwoods you will get incredibly good coverage because the stain doesn't soak in that much, even on my 20-year-old Ipe. They say 300 square feet per gallon but I get more like 350. When you're done the result will look like it belongs in your living room, the color of the wood is amazing.

Great brand
Best stain I have ever used. I have a 20 year old Ipe deck and it looks brand new after using the wiping stain. I've used other stains that made the wood look blotchy and would get mold and mildew on it. Not this brand. I stripped it three years ago and started to use the wiping stain. I clean it each spring and then apply one coat of this and it looks great.
