Maxi-CosiEmme 360 Rotating Convertible Car Seat in Navy Wonder

It seems comfortable, looks nice, and not super bulky BUT installation was a little difficult and it’s not the easiest to rotate. Definitely not something you can do with one hand. I usually just leave it side ways when I take the baby out so I don’t have to rotate it again when putting the baby back in. I did notice that if it’s not installed correctly it’s even more difficult to rotate.

Easy installation! It swivels with ease. It’s made the transition to toddler a lot easier! Especially when we protest to go in the seat. He loves the comfort of this one. It’s great for our backs as well, no fiddling. Turn it toward you pop baby in, swivel it back! I think the price point for this was perfect. Others are far more expensive. Some cheaper, but you can feel the drop in quality. This is very lush, material is breathable and secure.

We just graduated our grandbaby from a baby carrier car seat to this bigger one although she's still quite young. It is rated for infants to young children. Her carrier became too heavy for me to tote with her in it - she's a big baby - and was really hard for me to hoist into my pickup to latch in. I was interested in the swivel function of this seat. And that is still it's greatest feature. It makes adjusting and latching the harness much easier. I wish the seat would rest in place when turned to the side rather than swing around, but I suppose they didn't want anyone to become confused and think it's safe to ride that way. It is very wobbly until it's snapped into rear or front facing. Additionally, the latch to make it swing is very hard to squeeze and isn't in a handy spot. I was hoping to be able to reach in and activate it. However, I have to climb into the truck and squeeze HARD to get the seat to swing. Considering all of this, I am still happy with it. There will just be an adjustment period until I get used to it. I am excited that it will grow with her from here on out.Next, the installation. I've installed several other car seats over the years. This one is easy once you know what you're doing, but the instructions leave a bit to be desired. I had to youtube other people installing it to figure it out. My main issue was getting the seat to swing away from the base to allow me access to the buckles stored underneath. The diagrams show it lifted and away, but I couldn't find instructions on what button to push to make that happen. It's UNDER he seat cover.I really like the chest latch. It's magnetized. So, it wants to latch. That's nice when you're trying to get the baby in.It's big. I'm a medium height woman. But if I want to recline the car seat fully, I'll have to pull my seat forward from where I like it when I drive. But, it does rotate fine where I currently have it. If anyone needs to ride in the backseat with the baby, they will be a bit scrunched on either side.Lastly, it's HEAVY. Super heavy. That's good, in that I think it will be very safe for her to be in if we have an accident. It was bad when I was trying to get it installed. Thankfully, now that it's in, it's not going anywhere. It just stays in my truck.

Maxi Cosi was on my must have list when my daughter was born. We have the maxi cosi pria 85 in my car and it has grown quite well with her. My husbands car was totaled in a wreck so we needed a new seat for his car and this one looked perfect, especially since I've been so happy with our other maxi cosi seat. The directions for car seats are always a little hard to understand for me, but with a couple of youtube tutorials it was pretty easy and I had it installed in no time. Now that I know how it works, it is super easy to get in and out of the car if we need to put it in my mom's car for any reason. It has a push button at the bottom making it easy to swivel towards the opening of the car. If you have an infant, this makes it super easy to set the child in and then swivel it back to the appropriate setting. This car seat is known for it's added comfort which is great for the child, but the security measures it has in place will make any parent feel less anxious - especially for those first time trips. There are two ways to install it - seat belt installation or with the harness system which most new cars have. Both ways are super simple - but I accidently confused them together on my first try. My daughter is still using the 5 point harness system and has not grown into the booster only, and she loves it. It has two cup holders that are easy to detach if you don't want to use one or both and it's quite roomy for your child as he or she grows. She sits criss cross comfortably much of the time. It comes with all the pads for all stages of growth. Sometimes a nice, quality car seat can be hard to swallow because of the price, but it will literally last you their entire childhood if you take care of it. This brand is my favorite and I highly recommend it! Our first one was given to us as a group gift from work and I couldn't be any happier with both of them!
