Attractive...SHARP!...and super light
For an inexpensive set of steak knives, these will do quite nicely. They have an attractive, modern design and are EXTREMELY sharp. The tray they come in can serve to hold the knives and keep them from banging into each other, which I would recommend to avoid damage to the edges. I chose the straight-edge version, rather than the serrated-edge, since I know I can always resharpen a straight edge. For the price, I didn't find any better knives on Amazon...or anywhere else. The knife handles have hollow interiors which make them very light...and therein lies my one complaint about them: The knives have no heft in the hand. This is likely what enables the manufacturer to keep the price low but the knives feel cheap because of it. To give an idea of how light, I compared it with a number of things around the house. First, these knives are about half the weight of our standard stainless tableware knives. As you can see in the photo, a knife weighs about the same as five grape tomatoes or a 9v battery + a penny + a nickel or a slice of Trader Joe's whole wheat bread or a nearly-empty 12 oz. water bottle. One other minor issue is that the finish of the blades of some of the knives is blemished by hairline scuff marks --- likely the result of the sharpening process --- which cast a fog over parts of the blades. It proved impossible to show in a photo but I compare that with our everyday tableware which still has a mirror-like finish after nearly 20 years of use. This doesn't really detract much at all from the appearance of the knives but it provides an opportunity for rust and may explain why so many of the critical reviews mention a problem with rusting. I'm treating them as I would a fine set of knives by hand washing, then immediately drying them and, so far, I've seen no evidence of rust. If I do, I'll be back with an update.

Would buy again
8 months in and still loving these. They’re holding up to regular dishwashing very well. Are absolutely gorgeous. Would absolutely buy again if I needed more knives, as a housewarming gift, etc.

Lovely
These knifes wash well and are really nice for everyday use. They have good balance and are easy to pick up and use. They are sharp enough to cut steak. I am very happy with my purchase. The value is great.

Quality Mid-Range Steak Knives
I've been carting around some junk-tier steak knives for years.I don't know why I continued to box up several iterations of Dollar Store & Big Lots steak knives, but I did. I finally purchased my own home in July, and I felt like it was time to buy some steak knives that A) I wasn't embarrassed to give to guests to use, B) were aesthetically pleasing and C) didn't cost much.I fully expected these just come in regular packaging, but as you can see from the photos, they actually came very nicely packaged in their own box, with slots for the knives. I don't know if I'll keep the box, but with all the warnings about the potential for rust it may not be a bad idea. Personally, I haven't experienced this but that could be thanks to heeding the warnings from other reviewers: I dry these knives IMMEDIATELY.To sum it all up: these are great knives that do the job and won't cost you arm & a leg to do it!

So close to being great
I bought these knives months ago and have been using them daily. I love the way they feel. They are shockingly lightweight in comparison to other knives we own. They cut great through fruit, pasta, meat, and veggies. That being said, I have to wipe the edge with a paper towel and rinse before putting it in the dishwasher. Otherwise, quite the residue is left behind. Additionally, they are starting to rust in little spots. This is making me feel like I should throw them away. I am torn about whether or not to buy a new set of these because I really do like the way they feel, but don’t love the residue/rust issues. I would recommend if you plan to use semi regularly as opposed to daily or if you plan to hand wash.
