These came quickly, and I spent a little more than I thought I should for a set of 2.75 in diam. candle. But they really do last 40 hours and longer. We took the tip of another reviewer who said to roll the edge of the candle wax in toward the candle periodically. So after burning one night, I did it around noon the next day, and then again in the evening. After 2 days (now about 42 hours) we just rolled the edge in again - see pic. We did not attempt to trim wicks, or anything like that, just roll the edge in a bit like the picture. The candle is outside, and the wind would tend to shorten the longevity, but we do have this glass cylinder chimney that gives it some protection. We needed some candles for a candelabra for our fireplace. These are a great size for what we needed and seem to last a long time. They look great too. My only issue is that they are only mostly “dripless”. 8 of The 10 candles We’ve used so far don’t drip at all, which is awesome. But 2 have dropped quite a bit. It may have been that the wick wasn’t straight up and I didn’t notice. Not sure. But overall they do the job and look good.PS sorry if my photos are rotated, not sure what’s happening on the upload

I had been working on a project where I painted several candlesticks of different materials white for a couple of years (I'm a procrastinator). I finally got it done and needed candles. These candles were PERFECT! I read some of the reviews that indicated that the candles aren't dripless. THAT COULDN'T BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH! These candles are long lasting and haven't ruined my table or paint job! I'd recommend these candles to everyone! *Note: There wasn't a breeze in the room while the candles were burning.

I used these in my centerpieces for my wedding and they turned out great. They came quickly, and were exactly as described held up after hours of burning throughout my reception. There is still plenty of candle left to burn for future uses, I would buy again.Just be sure that the vases are at least 1.5” taller than top of candle if using outside. The wind did blow a few of them out in the beginning and they needed to be relit a few times.

This is the 3rd time I have purchased candles made by Bolsius. These are premium quality candles that burn evenly and very long and not a single one has burned itself misshapen and leaked melted wax all over. These are the only candles I buy now.

Had a power outage this weekend and got to use the candles for the first time. Used 5 of the candles of the (2) packs of 12 I bought. Three of the candles dripped wax shortly after being lit. Thankfully I noticed early enough and placed the remaining candles on plates before lighting.Otherwise great candles. They put out a decent amount of light and have no smell at all. Was glad to have them on standby for emergencies. Can't speak to how long they last yet, but we had them burning for about 5 hours and they had melted ~1/4" or so.

These candles last forever! I bought this set for my wedding centerpieces in lanterns. I wanted to test how the candle burned and it passed the test! Its a really nice slow burn, drips into itself rather than down the side for a nice clean look. I've had it burning for about 3-5 hours for the last 4 days and it's still only about half way burned. I highly recommend Bolsius Pillar Candles for your next event.

I used these candles inside white lanterns for my wedding as centerpieces. It was hard to find 5" WHITE (not ivory) pillar candles. These fit the bill and worked perfectly! We had them lit for the entire reception and they barely burned down at all. These are great for big events!
