Great Kids Bible!
I ordered this Bible for my daughter, who is almost 4. I love the inside of it because there isn't just one little picture at the top of the page above some words...the whole page is an adorable, detailed picture of whatever story you're reading. Really catches your attention! So colorful and cute! There are so many kids Bibles that only have a few of the more popular Bible stories, but this one has a ton of stories, even the ones you don't hear very often. The wording is awesome, very easy for her to understand, but yet not something she will outgrow fast either. If you're looking for a kids Bible, this is a great choice. Also, I saw it in a chain Christian Book Store for $20 and it was much cheaper on Amazon.

Great Children's Bible for my Two Year Old
The Candle Bible for Kids Board Book is great! The colors are bright and crisp, the text is short and to the point, and the pages are sturdy. My two year old loves to look at the pictures and the stories are short enough to keep his interest. This is a terrific first Bible.

The only thing I didn't like is the picture of the continents as they are today in the creation story. It had the same drawing, but in black and white, to show the earth before light was created.

I am reviewing the boardbook version.
I am reviewing the boardbook version. It contains the following stories:1. Creation2. Noah's Ark3. Moses in a basket4. Mean Giant5. Daniel and the Lions Den6. Jesus is born7. Lost and Found Jesus8. Calling the disciples9. Feed a crowd10. Jesus is aliveThe stories rang in long but averages 4 pages with 1-2 sentences on each page. Personally, I did not like the last image on the feeding a crowd story because it had the left over fish bones instead of the leftover whole fish - yucky for no good reason. The two scary parts are when the evil Pharaoh wants to get rid of all the boys (does not say anything about death) and bad men left Jesus to die on a cross but rose from the dead.Overall, I may have worded somethings slightly differently, change that image with fish bones, and maybe chose some different stories, but its not that bad of a start. I really could not find anything else that was age 1 appropriate.

Fluffy, inaccurate & careless
Some reviewers comment that the illustrations are 'absolutely adorable', I would say they are fluffy and cute, but sometimes so "cute" that they are inaccurate. Children depend so much on pictures to help them learn so I try to consider what a child will remember from the picture. For instance, the pictures of Adam and Eve make them appear to be two children and the cute little ark makes a literal interpretation of the story seem laughable.I am not persuaded that the author is concerned about what the Bible actually says - for Christians who know their Bible, many comments will jar against what you know to be true, e.g.[Day 2 of creation:] "God poured water into the sea. he blew air into the clouds and the sky. Now there was water and air""Give names to the animals I have created, God told them [i.e. Adam & Eve]" - check out the Bible - this happened before Eve was made."Can I escape, asked Noah" - check your Bible to see if Noah asked this question[To Jonah:] "Wake up, shouted the captain. You need to help us" - that is not what the captain said to Jonah - again check your Bible to see what he did say. There are many lovely Children's Bibles out there that are faithful to the text of the Bible. This one just isn't. It is very careless. I was disappointed

Great for toddlers.
Lovely colourful pictures. The text is limited and very simplistic but fine for my two year old who loves to leaf through, looking at the pictures. It is a toddler edition after all! When I want her to understand Bible stories better I'll buy her one where the stories are more complete.

Great.
My daughter is 4 we read her bible on occasion before bed. If on her own she likes to look at the colours and pictures and tries to identify Joseph and Mary. Good starter bible.
