A special Japanese Saw
I've tried quite a few Japanese pulling saws, and this one does indeed save as much effort as it describes, and I'm exploring why this structure saves more effort. Unlike the traditional Ryoba Saw, who only has one side for cutting and can't achieve both horizontal and vertical cuts, I tried cutting hardwood and it worked perfectly! I just tried flush cut once and the result satisfied me.If you are a professional Japanesesaw enthusiast, then I would suggest you to choose Ryoba Saw, which will take better cuts for different woods. But this saw would make me enjoy woodworking more, cutting is really easier and I'm sure everyone wouldn't mind having one of these in their toolbox, you may not know when you'll need it.You will definitely be useful when you need it, highly recommended!Especially at this price!

you WILL find a use for this. I guarantee it will impress you with its speed.
I LOVE THIS SAW. it is so fast. honestly I can sometimes beat my oscillating saw while cutting 2x6 boards - i am beyond impressed.PRO TIP - YOU DONT USE THIS LIKE A NORMAL SAW. apply as little pressure as possible in one direction, and as much as possible while pulling the saw towards you. if you know how to use a knife for cooking, this is the exact same idea. You use a choo-choo motion with your wrist to maximize pressure and friction in one direction (pulling) and minimize it in the other direction (pushing).

Excellent design and functionality
I don't usually write reviews of Chinese made tools. Usually they are not good value. But this saw is designed in Japan and they know wood working tools. My rating pertains to a very limited use which is separating neck and tail blocks of acoustic guitars. Of the 8 no kerf small blade saws I have tried, this is the most useful because the blade is thicker. This saw would be great for other purposes, but I have not used it in those conditions.

great saw for fine work
the size of the saw works great in cutting off the ends of turned handles and many fine details that larger size saws would be too cumbersome.

Bad Choice
After reading the reviews I was excited to receive this saw as I cannot afford a power saw. This was extremely difficult to use. The blade kept getting stuck in the wood; not a good purchase for me.
